Hello,

Just got my new computer and photoshop is laggy.. It even crashed yesterday without recovery files 😞

When I look at task manager my computer is almost doing nothing. But still photoshop is laggy.

  • CPU: 2%
  • Memory: 10%
  • GPU: 2%

Photoshop settings are fine it has 51359 available ram (got enough for that). Graphics processor is activated and cache level is 4 / 1028.

My specs:

  • AMD 5900x
  • RTX 3080
  • 64gb ram 3800mhz
  • SSD samsung 970 pro

Don't know what I can do, everything is fast and smooth exepct photoshop 😕 on a pretty expensive computer. Had a lot of trouble in the past with photoshop and speed but never like this.

Running the latest photoshop version 22.4.1

It is likely to be the issue - it has come up several times in these forums
