Round trip Lightroom to Photoshop on IPad

I am following the workflow in the 2021 video tutorial for the roundtrip between Lightroom and Photoshop on the iPad (https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/how-to/lightroom-photoshop-ipad.html). Everything seems to be working - except when I hit "Send to Lightroom" at the end of editing, the edited image is simply saved in Photoshop and nothing is sent back to Lightroom. I am using Lightroom v6.3.0 and Photoshop 2.6.1 on iOS 14.6. The online assistance got me to reinstall the Photoshop app - and reboot the iPad - but the problem remains. Am I missing something?

Hey everyone,

It looks like this was fixed with the release of version 3.0. If you're still running into an issue, please comment on this thread

I am having the same issue.  But after I click "Send to Lightroom" it is saved to Photoshop and then reopens the file from Lightroom again with no edits.

I'm also having the same issue. The "Send to Lightroom" button has the exact same effect as the "Create Photoshop Cloud Document" option (except "Send to Lightroom" closes the active document). Either way, the PSDC file goes to my CC cloud storage and not back to Lightroom.

Lightroom Mobile v6.3.0 on iPad Pro 11" running iOS 14.6, over 400Gb free space.
Photoshop for Mobile 2.6.1.

Perhaps @Pattie-F  from Adobe can help steer us in the right direction?

After posting yesterday, the feature suddenly and inexplicably began to work. I had earlier in the day deleted and reinstalled both apps and cleared the cache of the apps. Perhaps that was the trick.

I tried it several times ... still it won't work. It stops at 75 % ...

hope @Adobe will fix it soon. It is such an important step

otherwise it would be a nonsense

I have found success when, before hitting the "return to Lightroom" button, I go back into Lightroom and hit the back arrow so that grid view is showing. That allows the return to Lightroom button to work.  However, when from Lr I send it back to Ps I see a crash report in Ps. The file does open OK in Ps with layers, etc..  It seems like there is a bug, but I'd be curious if this 'workflow workaround' works for any of you.

Thanks for taking the time report this.  There is a bug tracked on the Photoshop Mobile team for this issue, but I don't have visiblity into the fix schedule.

i found a (tricky) way to make it work! After making the changes in PS i put the ipad in "sleep mode" (close the cover o push the "stop" button). after few second i reopen it and press "send to lightroom" button.

Interesting, I tried this (putting the iPad to sleep), and it worked for me also. Received back in Lightroom the way it is supposed to work.

However, the next time I switched to Photoshop, it displayed a crash report and asked if I wanted to send it. But, it's a workaround for now!
