I am trying to learn Elements 2018. I have created 2 custom brush sets "My own brushes" with a few brushes in each of them. These 2 brush sets always show up so they are "permanent" (I don´t have to Load them). Now, is it possible to delete them (i made them for fun not because I need them)? Is it possible to rename them?

Yes.

Open File Explorer in WIN 10.

Look for Windows (C)

Program Files (x86)>Adobe>Photoshop Elements (your version)>Presets>Brushes.

The brush files are ABR files.

Delete to suit.

If you find any brushes on line that may be of interest to you, install them here.

Thanks for yor fast replay.

In the folder you pointed to I found Elements original brush sets. The two brush sets I had created were not there. Hower, by checking "show hidden folders" in Windows I found my two brush sets in this folder:

C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\16.0\Presets\Brushes

I suppose I could delete the only items I found there, my two brush sets (.abr-files). I think this is the folder Elements advice users to put there own brush sets. I´m not sure how I managed to put my 2 brush sets there but I know that I have -not- opened the folder and put them there. So, my question is:

Could I simply delete the 2 brush sets there?

Could I put other brush sets there by dragging them into the folder?

Suggest that you delete one of the brush sets from the "hidden" file location and see what happens. It will probably end up in the Recycle bin.

It is important not to delete the default brushes that came with the program.

Let us know how you make out.

I right clicked on one of the 2 brush sets that was custom made by me and
choose delete from the context meny. The deleted brush set was still
visible in Elements editor. I then closed Elements and started Elements
again. Now the deleted brush set was not visible in Elements. Probably
deleted.
