Importing figures built in Powerpoint/Word in High Resolution

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 and I use it to convert Figures and Graphs done in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) in high resolution (>300 DPI) Figures for publication. For some reason when I copy and paste the Figures from Office to Photoshop the quality of the Figure is significantly worse (automatically imports the Figure from the Clipboard at 72 DPI) and it doesnt get better if I manually improve it to 300 DPI. With the old version of Photoshop this was not an issue.

Any suggestion?

Thanks for the help

Hi

Your question is about Photoshop Elements, so I have moved it from the Photoshop forum.

Just a suggestion since I never use Microsoft apps for photos/drawings:

Instead of cut and paste, could you save your image in pdf format and open them in the editor?
