I know this is a very outdated question, but here goes. For many years I have used Adobe Photoshop Elements 6. Today I decided to finally see if I could purchase an update. I was delighted to find Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 - quickly purchased and downloaded. But alas, this is NOT the Adobe Photoshop Elements I am used to and thought I was purchasing! This seems to be a photo managing software.... I want an update to the version I have which looks and works somewhat like Photoshop.
Where is the updated "mini Photoshop" app I know and need! Did they disconitnue it years ago? That's my fear.
Thanks for any update.

1. There is no update to PSEv.6.
2. PSEv.20, which you have purchased, has 2 components: The Editor & the Organizer.
3. Open the Editor, and go to the Expert tab, and you will find the tools with which you are familiar, e.g. lasso tool, brush tool, magic wand tool, etc.

And juist as aan extra. In the time of elements6 there were two pieces of software. Photoshop elements (edeting software) and photoshop album (organising software). At Some plint Adobe discontinued photoshop album and put this software into photoshop elements as a bundel.
So usually when you start elements you van chose to go to the editor or the organiser.
At leest up to version 2019 (i dont have 2020) you can, if you want to, make shortcuts to the executables directly to start the one or the other directly. Also you can choose to always start the one or the other when starting the default elements shortcut
