Since my Windows 10 update to the Creator's edition last week, the text engine does not work any longer.
I am using Win 10 Pro x64 Version 1703 OS Build 15063.138
PSE15 I just updated today. Version running: 15.0 (20160905.m.97630) x64
The PSE15 error message basically says (translated from German):
Process cannot be completed because the text engine cannot be initialized.
It provides a click link to resolution which does not show me any resolution 😞
Any suggestion what to do?
I reset all my preferences already, with no effect to the problem.
There's obviously a problem between the latest Windows 10 update and Photoshop Elements. My PC received the update, and I'm getting the Text Engine error message in Photoshop Elements. My laptop didn't receive the update yet, and Photoshop Elements is working fine. And Photoshop Elements was working fine on the PC the day before the update was installed.
Something needs to be fixed by Adobe, or a workaround given. This is preventing me from getting my work done.
I stopped PSE, deleted the following directory:
Then restarted PSE, and the Text Engine worked fine.
I could not find the directory that was suggested.
Adobe folder does not show in the file directly. What is the next possible solution?
I have just uninstalled PSE15 and installed it with the latest download file from Adobe.
Same problem 😞
I am using PSE13 and have same Problem since Windows 10 update to Version 1703. I would like to delete the file Type Support also unfortunatelly I cannot find the Directory in PSE13.
I find it! It's now deleted and the text tool works. Many thanks! Mwah! Mwah!
