Hello everyone,

I just installed First Elements 2018 (download) and I have a problem:

- During a video editing, I recover my media stored on my hard drive from my PC and put them in place on the track. These media are videos taken by an HD camcorder.
- When setting up the media on the track, the video appears, but the soundtrack is abscente!
For information, the selected media are saved in ".MPS" and ".MOV".
By cons, if I put a video on the track in ".MP4", I have no problem. I see the video and I hear the soundtrack associated with it.

For information, I started my video editing with the versions First Elements 10 and 13 and have never encountered any problem! Super reliable.

I just switched to the 2018 version which I fully trust.
I think this has to be a setting or make a fix?

Thank you for your feedback, which I think should not be too complicated.

Fabian

Another possibility is that you need a copy of Quicktime on your computer.  Premiere Elements will sometimes "borrow" codecs from Apples Quicktime and MOV files are an Apple format.
