Deleting audio removes a gap

Hi 

 

I don't understand why deleting audio from the clip on track 2 removes the gap below on the track 1. This is not what I want. I know how to workaround this but many times I'm not aware that gap on the track below is removed when I work with a few tracks. 

 

I just want to remove audio as name of the fucntion says. Nothing more.
