I would like the volume of my narrations to be audible without people having to increase the volume on their computer.  I moved the microphone sensitivity to max and the volume is still barely audible.

I'm a new user of Premiere Elements 2018 (not pro)

You can get a nice condenser microphone. They have much better dynamics that your basic computer mike.

Here's my personal favorite.

Otherwise, you can try right-clicking on the clip on the timeline and, the Clip sub-menu, selecting Audio Gain. On the Audio Gain panel, select Normalize. This will increase the fullness of your audio.

But it's no substitute for recording good audio in the first place with a good microphone.
