Steps to Reproduce every single time:

1) take 2 clips on the timeline

2) apply Morph Cut between them

3) Wait till it's done analyzing -- Morph Cut has to be present

4) try grabbing the beginning of the first clip to trim it and drag left or right (or just place the cursor and press shift + T to enter trim mode -- hanging will follow

Not the highest probability, but quick to check and so knock off potential issues list.

Do you have an Nvidia GPU? If so, does going to software only in Mercury Acceleration fix the issue?

There is a buggy Nvidia game driver causing all sorts of freezing/crashes and odd behavior in effects using the GPU for the 14.8 public release. This might be the cause. Especially if going to software only fixes it.

If so, go to the Nvidia website and download/install the newer Studio driver doing a clean install. If need be, roll back one Studio driver version.

Try rolling back one Studio driver. At least it's a quick test.

And I'll try and test this with Morph on my machine sometime today.
