BUG? Pr to AE Cross Dissolve Transitions

Please let me know if you can reproduce this bug or if I'm going crazy.

This page last updated in May says it should still be possible:

Cross-application workflows

Steps to reproduce:

• A sequence in Premiere Pro with standard Cross Dissolve effects between some of the cuts
• Send to After Effects
• No opacity keyframes in After Effects; video transitions are lost completely

I've tried both copy/pasting, and selecting everything and Replace With After Effects Composition. Neither create keyframes and the dissolves get lost.

Note: I'm fully up to date (2017.1.1) on Windows 10.

This is still an issue in the 2017.1.2 update!

I guess I'll file a(nother) bug report too, as this is still happening in PP 12.1.1 and AE 15.1.1.  Each time I think I can make use of one of Adobe's cross-program features, it always comes with some caveat that makes actual daily workflows...unworkable.  *sigh*
