Effect Control Keyframe arrows not displaying after paste

Hi guys! Have a bug that has been here for a while. Inside the Effect Controls box, whenever I create a position and scale keyframe, If I highlight and select the two diamonds and then go to another clip and click inside the effect controls box if I paste the keyframes in there, the timer for both position and scale will turn blue as if they are there, however the diamonds will not appear and I will have to turn off the timers and back on again, and then the bars will show up, and I will have to re-paste the keyframes. Then the diamonds will appear on the bars below.
