So I keep getting an error that reads:

"This file cannot be opened because of a header error."

Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong?

Thanks

Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?

Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below... A screen shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing - For Windows Internet Explorer press the PRINT SCREEN button on your keyboard, and then do CTRL-V to paste the screen print from the clipboard into a forum message

Hi AC Outdoor Productions,

1. What is the format of the file & source of the file?

2. If it is a .wav file, import the file into Audition, save it & try importing into Premiere Pro.

3. Is this happening with multiple formats or just with few formats?

Thanks,

Vidya.

Hi,

I can imagine that PPro may have troubles working with Word document as an importable asset. Have you tried copying and pasting the text into a plain text file (e.g. notepad)?

As BrandedChannels says, Word will not work. It adds junk in the file, some of which you may not even be able to see.

For Mac, use TextEdit. Just copy paste the Word content and see if that works.

For example, see the à in the sample you pasted? It should be:

@Тарас29822329e4y8,

The video at the beginning of this thread addresses 3 issues for IMAGES that create this error on import.

When import of a SRT subtitle file creates this error, it is almost always because of an error in the srt file.

Open the srt in a text editor and paste the first 3 subtitles here.

Stan
