Alas they are old instructions.

Click in Premiere Pro CC triangle and open other versions.

Install CS6 which also will install Encore CS6.

encore.png

Export from Premiere with H.264 bluray preset

Import the audio and video file into Encore

Make menu and burn to disk.

You will need Encore or another authoring application:

Encore comes with Premiere. There has never been a separate download/install.

No, the CS6 PrPro version is no longer available, hasn't been for a couple years now. You got Encore with CS6. So, no, it's not available.

I like this for Blu-ray authoring.  It's not cheap, but it is more powerful than Encore.

This one is $50 at Amazon US and used to be a Sony software product.  Sony invented Blu-Ray.  It does menu's.

If I was still making Blu-Rays I think I would be using it.

My question is can I make custom menus like in Encore en PS.

And does it re-encode the bd 'compatible' files from Premiere Elements and Pro.

Menus?  I watched the tutorials.  It makes menus and sub menus.

It uses MP4 and WAV files.  So, it appears an H.264 output from any NLE works.  I have never used Encore, so I can't say if it compares.

If I had a working BD burner, I would be happy to try it.  Mine broke in an upgrade to Windows 10 and I'm out of BD blanks.

Hi Ann.

I have the DVD Architect Studio version that does only DVD, not Blu-Ray.

If you output from Premiere Pro using Mpeg2-DVD and export as a single file, rather than separate files for video and audio, it doesn't re-encode the video, but it does re-encode the audio.

While it is not as powerful as Encore, you can create custom menus.  You can also have a video play before the menu and also burn non-DVD files to the disc.

Thanks Bob, I dont do dvd anymore just BD.

In Premiere there is no multiplexer for BD anymore.

So I was wondering if Vegas DVD architect (without the Studio) will re encode the video file.

Might need to download the program and test it myself.

Bill; the Amazon link is of no use: unavailable. Besides I am in Europa and use Amazon UK.

The Amazon link is for US.  As you probably know, all the Sony Vegas products were sold off to the German company Magix.  It should be easy to buy in Europe.  As when it was a Sony product, DVD Architect is bundled with several packages.  There is always something on sale.  Perhaps this link will work for you:  MAGIX – Video, Foto, Musik und Web Software vom Marktführer

Or maybe this:  VEGAS DVD Architect – DVD und Blu-ray Disc Authoring   It appears bundled with their middle package for less money:  VEGAS Movie Studio im Vergleich mit der VEGAS Movie Studio Familie

At the consumer level, it seems there are two other Blu-Ray burning options.  One is to buy Premiere Elements version 14 or 15 from eBay or somewhere.  Any final output from any NLE could be used as input media.  Any encoding loss might not be visible to home video watchers.

The other seems to be something called ImgBurn and I know nothing about that, yet!

Imgburn does what it says: burns images/iso's to disk.

As Bob already mentioned: Vegas Studio only does dvd.

Premiere Elements is out of the question. I cannot edit with the program (does not meet my needs) and it encodes everything you put on the timeline. That is one thing I am trying to avoid.

Have to try DVD architect one day.

I wrote that  "At the consumer level".   I was not suggesting you are a common consumer!   My point was only about amateurs with Blu-Ray burners and disc sharing habits.  With YouTube and Vimeo, I sense that the use of discs for home video is rapidly declining.

I didn't realize there was no longer a multiplexer for BR encoding in CC 2018.

That is massively annoying.

What are you using for a workaround?

Ann posted her workaround above involving installing an old Premiere version that puts Encore on you computer.

This may be a useful reference:  How to download and install Adobe Encore CS6

Good luck!

Well, certainly if you wanted to make a BR Disk you could use Encore, which I do have installed.

My problem is that there is apparently no way to produce a BR .m2t file from a PPro 2018 timeline.

Why on earth has Adobe deleted the multiplexing function for BR h264 output??

Ann has been teaching me in other posts!  Her reference is Adobe Creative Cloud apps use native OS support for Dolby

I don't understand the why it at all, but the reality is that Adobe is not buying Dolby licensing.

Dolby apparently made some demands or conditions about the presence of their trademarked or patented or other owned material in the Adobe apps.

As neither Dolby nor Adobe have said one word, clearly guys in grey or dark blue suits with power ties are involved and once that happens common sense ain't. And we are probably never going to know exactly what was the problem.

It does seem clear most of the Adobe staffers were most unhappy. And completely silent. Obviously under order to say nothing.

So apparently the BR multiplexing is part of the Dolby licensing??

I never realized there was a connection there.

It's a good thing that I never uninstalled PPro 2017
