Hi there
New to Premiere from Avid - is there a timeline for the source window..? As in, is there a way to switch between the composer / sequence window timeline and the source window timeline..?
Any help appreciated..!
Many thanks

The source panel plays/loads only one clip at a time.
The playhead at the bottom of the panel is the "timeline" for the selected clip.

Hi there
Thanks for the reply.
I can drag a sequence into the source window and scrub through that sequence etc - I just can't seem to see it's timeline..

You need to take a look at the pancake method of editing:

There are other tutorials out there.

Thanks Meg
That's a great tip..! Works well.
What would be amazing would be to get one timeline in the source window and one timeline in the destination / composer window..
Cheers
Michael

Did you ever figure out how to mark in mark out on your source timeline, and cut a bit of the "source" timeline into your "program" timeline?

Glad to see im not the only former Avid user that this bothers. I would love to be able to see a single source clip in a timeline view. When cutting a split track delivery for a reel or trailer, I wanna be able to easily see and mute the tracks I don't need, toggle those tracks on or off from that view, and toggle back to the timeline. I should just copy/ paste this comment into a new thread, TBH.
