Hi

I was hoping someone could help me.

Up until last week I was editing in Premiere 2015 on a Macbook Retina.

I just switched to a Windows laptop.

In Premiere 2015.3 on Windows 10 I am finding that the gui is much slower and more laggy then on a mac.

- The premiere playhead is laggy and fulls behind the mouse.

-The timeline slightly flickers as a move it.

- Zooming in and out of the timeline is not smooth at all.

Does anyone know why? Or this normal for Windows?

My Machine is an Alienware 13 R3 OLED, with an PCIE SSD, 32gig ram and an 1060 card.

The previews themselves run fine, its just the gui that lags.  (While if I go to my old Macbook retina 13, the Previews are slow but the GUI is smooth)

Thanks

Chris

That is certainly not normal. Do you have an Admin profile on this machine?

Please run a small test: create a test Admin account on your machine and check for this issue in that account.

Also, make sure that you have the latest video drivers installed.

   Hi

Thankyou for you fast response, I tried that and updated the drivers, it didnt work.

Premiere is usable, it just feels sluggish compared to the mac and there is just a slight flicker when moving the timeline as well.

My old 13 inch retina's GUI is much smother and no flicker, which is odd.

Though I seem to be having a few issues in general though. When I render from premiere, the colour of the video is slightly pink on VLC and Chrome. Though the same video file looks as it should on everything, on my mac retina.

Im about ready to return the machine and buy a Mac again, even if the new ones are insanely priced and under powered.

Many thanks

Chris
