Hi, so my premier pro since last week suddenly for some reason keeps crashing during export. It doesn't always happen but 90 percent of the time it crashes. The time it crashes is random, sometimes crashing when it's like 98 percent exported. I sometimes get a crash report and sometimes the whole program just closes itself. I have a nvidia rtx 2070 graphics card and my processor is AMD Ryder 5 3600. I have installed the latest driver from GeForce experience but I am still experiencing crashing. While changing the renderer from mercury playback engine GPU acceleration (CUDA) seems to work (not 100% sure yet as I've only tried once) the rendering time is so much slower which I can't have. I'm a video editor and am working from home due to lockdown and have to meet deadlines but I can't when premier pro won't let me export my desired project. Is there a way to get this to export without crashing while not changing the renderer to software only. It kind of defeats the process of having nvidia to speed up the process. Especially when this never happened before but only suddenly started to happen since one week ago. I also have two local disks and wondering if this would impact anything ify videos are in one disk and I export to another? Thank you.
I haven’t tried that yet but was wondering if there was a way to fix this without using the encoder. Will it definitely work if I use the encoder? I didn’t have any effects or colour correction for this project but for previous ones I did and it exported without a problem. As for my ram, it is 16gb, with around almost 10gb dedicated to premiere pro. Thanks for your help!
16gb of RAM sound enough, even tho I will recommand 32 or 64gb if you've the budget for it. For me, it was making the app way smoother to use. no more crash or error due to stuff that premiere is suppose to handle but can't for a reason only devs might know.
What worked for me in the past was to export my project on a external hard disk. If your pc is full or almost full, it might cause trouble with Adobe Apps that are requireing way too much power and space than they actually need...
Last idea I've for your issue will be to reinstall the app again, cause your computer is powerfull enough for that type of edit.
If you have editor friends around and dealing with tight deadlines, copy your entire project and use someone else pc to export. It might be annoying locating all files again but it can save your project.
