Sharing MOGRTs give me the "no" symbol when trying to import into Premiere

All other baseline/pre-installed MOGRTs seem to work, but when I create one in AE (in CC 2019, CC2020), I cannot seem to import them into my work's computer which has CC 2018.  I get the circle with line slash icon when I try to click/drag into a timeline.  And updating to the lastest CC isn't an option at this point.  Does anyone know for certain that MOGRTs created in one version have to be loaded into the same version?  Or is there a trick to getting it to work?
