Hi,

I'm new to using Premiere Pro, so this may be a simple question, I'm hoping so at least!

im trying to get a video transition whereby my Text title appears character by character, as if it is being typed onto the screen, and also to attach a sound effect to each character appearing.

Does anyone know of a transition that will accomplish this?

Thanks.

You can do that several ways.

One way is to keyframe a crop effect.  Another is to use each letter separately and stagger them on the timeline.

After Effects has a text effect preset for that also.  You can do it in After Effects and export a file with transparency to use in Premiere Pro.

Just place your sound effect at the appropriate times on the timeline.

Thanks for the help! I've been able to do it character by character on the timeline and link the sound effect!

I'll have a look through after effects as I haven't used that yet.

Thanks again.
