does 'use thumbnail' work in a chm output format?

Hello, going through the quickstart lessons.

trying to use above mentionned feature, which could be intresting for my case.

Is it normal this does not give result? image stays in the same size...

I wouldn't expect it to. CHMs are generated within RoboHelp but like all other authoring tools, RoboHelp has to use the Microsoft Help Compiler. That was last updated by Microsoft in 2004.

 

Do you need to make this work or is it just an academic exercise? If you do need it to work, then the only thing I can think of that might work is to put a thumbnail size image in the topic and create a link to a larger image. I don't know if it will work in the New UI but it's worth a try.

It is not a business need. Rather a nice to have. i’ll do without it, in that case.

You say 2004? That’s why it looks so old fashioned!
