I am a new user and taking a course at the end of the month but this can't wait - I have figured out how to create Content tags, applied them to Dynamic filtering but when I select one option and then do a search it gives me all the results. I only want it to search based on my selection - what am I missing?

Thanks!

  1. You have created your tags.
  2. Applied them to topics.
  3. Created a filter.
  4. Generated an output with the filter selected.
  5. Selected one of the filters in the output.

Those are the steps but you are finding topics filtered out are still showing when you search. First make sure you have followed those steps.

You haven't said which version you are using but see the RoboHelp Tour on my site and look at the DCF topic for your version. Post back if still stuck.

Ahhhh I thought I had added my tags but had applied them to each topic. User error - thank you so much!
