Robohelp2015 Webhelp: assign new style to next line, keeps numbers from previous line

Hello,

I am writing numbered step procedures. I have created a style called numlist. When I press Enter at the end of the sentence, it correctly assigns the next number in numerical value. Sometimes the next line needs to be a style called SubStep which is a system response or extra information line(s). However, when I apply the SubStep style to the second line it correctly applies the new styles, but keeps the numbering. Is there any way to set up the SubStep style to remove the numbering scheme?

Thanks,

MDawn

It sounds like you are setting up two styles rather than one style with multiple levels.

The editor allows you to define the top level with say 1, 2, 3 and so on and then the next level with say a, b, c and so on.

The idea is that you apply Numlist and get to say Step 3 where you want a sub step. After writing the first paragraph of Step 3 you should hit Enter and 4 will show. You then press the tab key and the paragraph will indent and apply "a". Importantly, any level can be set up not to have numbering if that is your requirement.
