Creating my own props in photoshop rejected...

I recently created a "ticket/receipt" in photoshop, but I guess I did too good of a job because all the images in the series were rejected for copyright infringement, yet no logos or actual "sensitive information" was used. But theres no way to explain this when uploading images. How can I get a ne review or consideration?

A moderator would have no way to know this is fake. You need to provide a property release indicating you made it up from scratch. That alone would not necessarily get it approved however. There is a company called sportsbook.com so the sportsbook text should be removed to avoid implied affiliation or endorsement from them.

Hi rjthedog

If you are the original designer, submit a Property Release document signed as you being the owner and Artist, and have someone witness it. However if they resemble something someone else design, that might pose a problem getting acceptance without the designer's signature.

Let's hear Abambo view on this.

Best wishes

Without seeing what they look like, I can only agree with Jacquelin.

Here is the ticket i created...

The term "sportsbook" refers to Any place that takes sports bets, NOT a specific company. I randomized/created the code number AND the barcode.

Honestly, I get it, that more than likely, I will have to shoot everything all over again. But I'm not going to lie, it's extremely frustrating to spend all that time to do the best job I can, to make things look as legitimate as I can, only to be shot down, because it looks too legitimate!

To be fair, I'm venting at this point, because I work with multiple stock agencies and nowhere else has even given me the opportunity to explain or discuss it. (Thank you guys very much!)

Hello rjthedog, Bar codes make me very nervous.  Are you doing this one for a client? or just for Adobe Stock to offer for sale or are you going to use it in your business? Yes, it looks very real! I honestly think you might attract some naughty folk wanting to use it illegally.

You can say that you have succeded in making it very real - goal accomplished. However, rejection by Adobe is understandable. I wonder what the legal department has to say about this?

For now please try something not quite so far out into the risky and unknown happenings possible with this. Maybe take it to a friends store and see what comes up when you scan it.

The entire world of betting on sports events is moving rapidly -  how about wait - offer this later.

I think a few other Adobe people will comment here too. Best regards, JH

Well, looking at this, you should really consider to put instead of Sportsbook « Dummy Logo » or similar.

However, I‘m questening the use of having such a file in jpeg. I would love to use such a design in Illustrator, permitting for changeing what I would like to change.

I'm inviting MatHayward comment on this. It would be interesting knowing exactly why this offering was rejected, and if/how it can be improved for successful submission.

Mat is Adobe’s expert in this field. We call him when we would like to have expert advice on a picture. Very often, we figure out what is wrong or right on an image, but sometimes there are interesting cases, where we want to hear the inside reasoning. this is one of these cases, where Jacquelin want’s to get him involved.

My bet will be the logo that really makes this hard to detect as a fake ticket. But just to get this opinion does not get your file accepted automatically, because there may also be other refusal reasons, like commercial appeal.

I would refuse it on theses grounds except if you would deliver an Illustrator file of this. A Jpeg file is of limited use here.

MatHayward  I will try the property release to see if that helps any ( for the photos I already have shot) but I can see I will already have to "Dumb down" this ticket, print out some new ones and use those. But I thank you for the input.

Just for clarity though... as stated above "The term "sportsbook" refers to any place that takes sports bets, NOT a specific company." There is also a "Sportsbook.net" (sportsbook.eu and a sportsbook.ag as well) out there, completely unrelated to "Sportsbook.com", but all are registered using the "(dot)Suffix" in the company name. Those subtle changes  are what make the companies different, and also make any use of the term "sportsbook", not a copy-written title. But its a small matter and again I appreciate your assistance with how Adobe Stock "thinks".

Though it is funny to me, that others in the series WERE accepted:
Betting with bitcoin - Buy this stock photo and explore similar images at Adobe Stock | Adobe Stock
Betting baseball with bitcoin - Buy this stock photo and explore similar images at Adobe Stock | Ado...

jacquelingphoto2017 Tysm for your input and for getting to mat to help out with this!! (you rock)

@Abambo... you dont seem to understand whats going on here... Im not trying to sell the image of this ticket. Im trying to use it in a photographic series I am working on. And I find it very distasteful that you would even request a Illustrator file so that YOU can use it for YOUR OWN WORK... MAKE YOUR OWN! or you can pay for my work like everyone else does! WTF???

Come on rjthedog22, You should read Abambo's statement again - he did not imply he would steal your ticket, he said he would like to see something offered in Illustrator - "I would love to use such a design in Illustrator, permitting for changing what I would like to change."  He would use it if it came within a paid for the application like Illustrator - meaning the original artist (you) would have been paid for the work. Let your ruff settle down and see a friend here not a threat.  Play nice, you might really need Abambo one day. Smiling and wishing you the best. JH

Let me make this quite clear: I’m even not interested in your quite simple design of a ticket. What I said is that I would not buy a JPEG image, if I would need to spend money, that would cost me more time to modify what I would need to modify.

YOU SHOULD CONSIDER UPLOADING AN ILLUSTRATOR FILE (to stock), BECAUSE A JPEG FILE IS VERY MUCH USELESS FOR A POTENTIAL BUYER.

Just for clarity also, and just as you do not seam to undersatnd what Mat said: You can’t use SPORTSBOOK because a moderator may refuse your picture again on this and you would need to resubmit. Put in a generic term...

Thanks and enjoy your stay...

Hi rjthedog

Thank you for your kind comment.

Mat Is a member of Adobe staff, a specialist in the area of stock, and experienced. I suggest you follow carefully what he suggest.

The people I call on are those we work closely together. Each of us has our own unique ways of assisting which makes us a team. Abambo, many times go on the limb to assist, even if it means purchasing images. I was trying to find the thread for you to see an occasion he bought an image just to assist a contributor. I'm not able because I did not bookmark it and I'd have to go through a very long list to find it, which will take up too much time. However, the point I want to make is that I really cannot agree with your insinuation.

Regards

JG
