Hi,

I have over 200 image that have been approved and have sold 2 images.  But when I log in as a buyer and search for them I can not find any of my images.  Is there something I have done?   Why can't I find them?  Is there a wway to talk to a person about this problem?  I can't find a support phone number.

We ran a test with this file and found it with the word Erbium when we resubmitted. I don't know exactly why it's not working with the current file you have uploaded but it should work OK if you resubmit it. Please delete the current file and resend it. Shoot me an email with the new image ID number and I'll put it online right away.

If you do not find your pictures, you need to change your search criteria. Adobe stock does not use tge image title as a criteria, so it will only search via keywords and eventually similarity search.

You need to keep in mind that some themes are quite overrunn, so that it is very problematic finding your pictures specifically. If you have made 2 sales, that means that the buyer poked around with your set of keywords to find your specific image. Unfortuneatly, there is no tool for optimizing for user searches, and it is more a guessing game when you decide on the correct keywords.

You will find your pictures always when searching by the number that git allocated to your picture. But that is just to confirm, that the picture is accessible and not how good the picture performs against other ones.

There is no phone number to call on this topic, the only source of help may be this forum.

And btw: if I knew the magic keyword to boost my pictures at the top of the search, I would use that... I can’t find my pictures neither, but I make sales, so I suppose other people combine keywords differently.

I have an image of the atom Erbium that is entitled Erbium.  So I searched for erbium.  I came up with around 150 images as a result. Mine is not among them.  So I check what keyword others are using.  And to my surprise a lot of the words are the same.  And one of my keywords is erbium.  If the search can't find that there is a problem.  So my question still stands.  Why can't I find them?  Is there a way to talk to a person about this problem?

I get notified by mail! But it should be a matter of days finding the image. Newly approved images ask for some patience...

I am notified by email also but I do not keep all of my mail.  This image was uploaded in March of 2018.  This is just one example.  I can't find any of over 200 images when I search for them.

Let's see if Mat jumps in and answers this question. March 2018 is hell a lot of time for the indexer to index the keywords.

In the meantime you could provide some more examples of files that can not be found. You only need to indicate the number and a keyword to facilitate the counter check.2 or 3 should be enough to make your case.

The search algorithm doesn't include words in the title. If you have "Erbium" in the title but not in the list of keywords attached to the image, it won't be found. Check your keywords again. I see your images when I go to your profile, but when I search for Erbium it doesn't show up, and I don't see "Erbium" in the keywords.

Erbium is listed in the keywords. I've reached out to our metadata specialist in an effort to learn what the issue is here. She is looking into it and I'll be sure to respond in this forum when we discover the answer.

Thanks for this discussion. It's very helpful to us.

Please look at the data. The search word is included to the keywords. and the number of results is quite limited, so that you can check image oer image if it is yours. It’s not on the search results. For sure this is a bug. I had also images that I suspected not to be found via keywords, but as my keywords tended more to tenth of pages, I just thought to overlook the picture. I’m not sure anymore. Erbum is quite rare (for rare earth ...) so it’s easy to spot that there is a problem.

We should let Mat and the Adobe team doing their research to fix this. May be my sales will get a boost...

The first 5-7 keywords have the highest weight in the search algorithm, so put the most important keywords first. Certainly atomic weight, atomic number, periodic table and atom should be at the top of the list. And if the images were just approved, they may not have been indexed yet. I think it can take 24-48 hours for that to occur.

That was my question? When did the images get approved?

It’s currently not a ranking question but a visibility question. For such a small number of hits, its easy to control for visibility.

I have the exact same problem. When I click on the file id sometimes it shows sometimes it doesn't. Also when I search for a keyword for example "oil burner" my picture doesn't show up but I can see it on my page. Why do they take the pictures and don't show them? I don't get the point. Did they fix that problem for you?

By @ananashirsizi

“oil burner” returns over 10,000 results. Did you check all the 100 pages?

Furthermore, depending on your location, some files may be hidden from the customer's view because Adobe needs to invest in separate vetting and so images stay hidden before that vetting took place.

That answer does not make much sense. If you see the picture, post a link to it.
