Please help me to understand why this image was rejected for exposure

Hi There,

Very new to this and have uploaded a few images to learn about the stock process, I'm currently reading to see what images are more appealing/desirable than others etc..but in the meantime I wonder if someone might help me to understand the rejection of this image based on exposure so I don't make the same mistake again.

Whilst the histogram of the image is predominantly in the darks area, it has information all the way across the range to the highlights - it is after all a twilight/night image so thought this would be expected.

Any help to understand would be appreciated.

here is an excerpt from the picture I opened in Camera Raw. The exposure warnings on the histogram were turned on:

The red areas are therefore overexposed. I think these are the reason for the rejection for exposure.

По поводу второй фотографии   не  знаю что и  сказать. Думаю.... но в голову ничего не приходит , хотя эти красные пятна завораживают.

As your histogram indicates, the shadow areas are a bit underexposed, so I would brighten these up a tad. I wouldn't worry so much about the highlight areas, as there wouldn't be much detail there anyway, but there would be in the shadow areas - especially in the corners. Notice the peak in the black area of the histogram.

nice scenery. I am seeing image Not as a photographer but as a viewer. It is confusing me. I am not able to focus on image details. But it is making to to ask at what time of the day image was shoot. Building have light on and the sky is bright blue. may be this has happened to reviewer. The building on the left shadow is black and windows bright with lights on.

From the histogram it looks image is under exposed.

I love the image. It has hot and dark spots I can not get past Adobe either so, sell to another venue may be. JH

Прощу извинить меня.  Одним  из  критериев оценки  является  ИНТЕРЕС ,  нравится - не нравится.   Меня фотография не тронула.  Возникло ощущение  захламленности, не  знаешь на  чем остановить глаз .  Неравномерное  освещение.  Правый нижний угол  очень темный... Попробуйте подсветить воду.
