Yes, I can confirm this bug exists in Lightroom Classic 13.0.1 and MacOS 12.7.1. As has been said before, it only happens the first time you type into a metadata field after starting LrC. In my screen recording I have started to type the word "office" in as a keyword. The "o" is entered as a keyword, but the next letter "f" triggers the full screen preview. Oh well, I have a video that I've tried to insert here. Tried dropbox and youtube, but it keeps coming up with an error when I enter the url. How to others do it? Anyway, the bug is real 🙂

Unlike for history there is no way to delete all existing snapshots for either one or all the currently selected photos. You must delete each snapshot in each photo manually Yes, I don't relish the idea of doing this for 11,000 photos 😞

Hi - I'm currently using Lightroom Classic 13.0.1 I have recently joined a load of microstock sites, and am wanting to use Snapshots more. A "Has Snapshot" smart collection tells me that of my roughly 42,000 photos, about 11,000 have snapshots. The weird thing is that all (I think) of these snapshots are called "Import". Another weird thing is that they are all on photos that I imported into Lightroom in the first half of 2006 ... which I've discovered means that it was the beta version of Lightroom I was running at the time. Anyway ... I don't want 11,000 photos with "import" snapshots, so I was wondering if there's a way to remove the snapshots? What works sometimes is deleting photo(s) and then reimporting them again. Sometimes this removes the snapshot, and sometimes it doesn't. If I then delete the photo(s) again a second time and reimport, the result is the same ... sometimes the snapshot is removed, sometimes not. Thanks, Alun

OK - I see why they were merged. I initially thought the 2018 post was only about photos with GPS coordinates.
However, it is concerning that a bug report with very clear, reproducible steps has not been resolved 3 years on 😞

The Location Columns library filter preset shows Unknown Country/Region, Unknown State/Province etc for photos with no location metadata.
When metadata is added, the locations are shown in the Location Columns filter preset.
BUT, when location metadata is removed, the Unknown label is NOT shown again (instead continues to show the location that has been deleted), unless all 4 location fields (Country/Region, State/Province, City, and Sublocation) are empty.
I'm not sure when this behaviour started, but it used to work perfectly. First noticed yesterday in a catalogue of 30,000+ images, but have repeated in a new catalogue with just two photographs ... one DNG, one JPEG.
10.2 Release. macOS Big Sur 11.2.3.

Indeed! I can't see how I could have done it accidentally either ... somehow drilling down through several subdirectories, creating an alias and then renaming it to replace an existing file ... accidentally. Very weird.

Mac OSX Mojave. I was looking through old photos in my Lightroom catalogue the other day, when I noticed that one was marked with a little black circle and an exclamation mark "lightroom has encountered problems reading this photo". The photo in question was a scan I did (one of a few thousand) of a slide, back in 2011. If I show the file in Finder, I see that the file is not a jpeg at all. It used to be, and is still named as it was (img_r_0394.jpg), but it is now a 904 byte Alias file. The alias is pointing to /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Uninstall/ACR_11_1.app. The date of the alias is 12 Dec 2018, so I thought this won't be a problem because I have an off-site backup from before then. However, the rogue alias is present even on the older backup, but this time it is pointing to /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Uninstall/ACR_10_5.app and is dated 26 Aug 2018. Fortunately I still have access to my slides, so I can scan it again. However, how could this have happened?
