Hello @j._4883
I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.
In AEM Designer Preview, your form correctly displays:
The form title ("Test Form")
Buttons like "Expand Form" and "Validate Form"
XML-driven buttons labeled "XML Active Button 1" through "XML Active Button 8"
However, in Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader, the form title and the top buttons are missing, even though the rest of the form appears.
Possible Causes & Fixes:
Dynamic Content Not Set to Initialize on Load: AEM Designer can preview dynamic XML content, but Acrobat requires explicit scripting to initialize it. Fix: Ensure your form has a script in the form: ready or initialize event that binds or redraws the dynamic content.
Missing or Incorrectly Bound XML Data: Acrobat may not be loading the XML data source properly. Fix: In AEM Designer, go to File > Form Properties > Preview > Data File and ensure the XML is embedded or properly referenced. Also, check that the XML is embedded in the PDF or loaded via script when opened in Acrobat.
Dynamic XFA Forms vs. Static Forms: Acrobat supports dynamic XFA forms, but only if they are saved correctly. Fix: Save the form as a Dynamic XML Form (File > Save As > Dynamic XML Form (*.pdf))
Reader Extensions Not Enabled: If you're using Acrobat Reader, some dynamic features may not work unless Reader Extensions are enabled. Fix: Use Acrobat Pro or ensure the form is extended using Adobe LiveCycle/Experience Manager Forms.
Script Conflicts or Errors: A script triggered by the "Use XML" logic might be failing silently in Acrobat. Fix: Use the JavaScript Console in Acrobat (Ctrl + J) to check for errors when opening the form.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Hello @neal_igu!
I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.
Could you please share more details about the workflow and the requirements?
As per the description, you're asking whether Adobe Acrobat Pro DC includes the calculator-style annotations and letter/number connectors you used in your previous accounting role, specifically tools like:
Adding tapes or calculator-style annotations
Capital letters in circles for footing and cross-footing
Colored mathematical symbols and circled numbers
Adobe Acrobat Pro DC includes a robust set of annotation and markup tools, such as:
Lines, arrows, shapes, and text boxes
Custom stamps and drawing tools
Color and style customization for comments and shapes.
You can access these via All Tools > Comment > Drawing Tools or by right-clicking on the toolbar and enabling Commenting Tools. See this Adobe article for more information: Use annotation and drawing markup tools to add comments in PDFs.
However, the specific accounting-style connectors (like circled letters and numbers, or calculator tapes) are not native features of Acrobat Pro DC.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Hello @Clever_responsibility0502
I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.
The issue could be due to:
You enabled “Use Orthographic Lines”, which forces measurements to lock to vertical or horizontal paths.
After disabling it, the “Snap to Path/Line/Endpoint” features no longer behave as expected.
Even after a repair installation, the snapping logic seems broken, likely due to a cached preference or corrupted measurement profile.
Reset Measuring Tool Preferences
Go to Menu> Preferences > Measuring (2D)
Click "Restore Defaults."
Restart Acrobat Reader and test the snap behavior again
Disable and Re-enable Snap Settings
In the Measuring Tool, right-click and ensure:
Snap to Paths is enabled
Snap to Endpoints is enabled
Snap to Intersections is enabled
Toggle these off and on again to reset their behavior
Reset the App's preferences, and restart the machine. Ensure that you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 25.001.20531 (Win) | 25.001.20529 (Mac), planned update June 10, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again with a different PDF.
If the issue persists, perform a clean installation using the Acrobat Cleaner tool to remove the current app, restart the machine, and install Acrobat Reader.
If the issue continues, please provide the following information: the current version of the operating system on your device, a sample PDF file, and the logs from the affected machine. To collect the logs, download and run the Log Collector tool. Make sure to select all log options and attempt to reproduce the issue. After that, close the Log Collector tool; it will generate the logs along with a log ID. Please share this log ID with us for further investigation.

Hello!
You're absolutely right—Thunderbird's print dialog defaults to its own interface, which doesn't always expose all system-level print options. To access the full range of printer features (including "Save as PDF"), you need to:
Open the print dialog in Thunderbird.
Scroll to the bottom and click "Print using the system dialog…".
In the system dialog that appears, you’ll find the “PDF” button in the lower-left corner (on macOS).
If it is specific to one PDF, is it possible to share the file with us for testing? Try with other PDF, and if it is printing file, you might have to recreate the PDF from the source using the Acrobat PDFMaker engine.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Hello @allison_7556
Thank you for sharing the screenshot and other details. As mentioned earlier, the link is active and working.
Could you please try changing the Browser and the network connection type if it is a personal computer? If it is an IT-managed machine, please contact the IT team, as it seems to be an access issue.
To troubleshoot issues on a personal computer, try the following steps: restart the machine, switch to a different web browser, and change your network connection type. You can connect to a mobile hotspot, switch to a LAN connection, or try using a guest Wi-Fi network. Additionally, try opening the links on your mobile device using its cellular network.

Hello @varase
You can manually clean up, and as correctly highlighted by our community product expert, installation and reinstallation will not reinstate the trial.
Steps to do a manual clean-up: Restart the machine once.
Quit Adobe Acrobat
Make sure the app is not running:
Right-click the Acrobat icon in the Dock and choose Quit
Or use Cmd + Q
If it won’t quit, open Activity Monitor, search for “Acrobat,” and force quit any related processes.
Run the cleaner tool once. Use Finder’s Go to Folder ( Cmd + Shift + G ) and delete these folders if they exist:
Location
What to Delete
/Applications/Adobe Acrobat
Main app folder
~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat
User data
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat
System-wide data
~/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Acrobat.*.plist
Preferences
~/Library/Caches/Adobe/Acrobat
Cache files
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.adobe.*
Background services
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.adobe.*
Daemons
Use Spotlight or Finder search with “Adobe” or “Acrobat” to find any stragglers.
Restart the machine again.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Hello @pierre_2237
I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.
Here's a simple and effective step-by-step guide:
To Replace Pages in a PDF:
Open your original PDF in Acrobat Pro.
Go to the “Organize Pages” tool:
You can find it under All Tools > Organize Pages.
Select the page(s) you want to replace:
Click on the page thumbnail(s).
Click “Replace” in the top toolbar.
Choose the scanned and signed PDF file that contains the replacement page(s).
Acrobat will prompt you to select which page(s) from the new file to insert.
Confirm and save your updated PDF.
See this Adobe article for more information: https://adobe.ly/43RTAu7
To Remove Pages:
In the Organize Pages view, select the page(s) you want to delete.
Click the trash bin icon or right-click and choose “Delete Pages”.
Save the file.
When scanning your signed pages, ensure they are properly oriented (portrait/landscape) before inserting.
Save a backup copy of your original file just in case.
I hope this helps, and let us know if you need any assistance.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Hello @Danmiller35
Thank you for sharing the additional information. While you mentioned plugin compatibility concerns, we have made improvements in how spot colors and transparency are handled in recent updates. If you can test on a separate machine or VM, it may help confirm the issue.
Pantone Spot + Transparency = Flattening Conflict When a spot color is used with a transparency effect, Acrobat relies on the alternate color space (usually CMYK) during flattening. If the spot color is not fully defined (e.g., missing Pantone metadata or ICC profile), Acrobat may fail to render or print it correctly.
Overprint Preview simulates how spot colors will behave in print, but it doesn’t guarantee that the printer or RIP will interpret the transparency correctly, especially if the spot color is not recognized.
I will also check internally and share more details on this.
Thanks for your time and cooperation.
Regards,
Anand Sri.

I hope you are doing well. Thanks for reaching out, and we're sorry for the trouble you had.
Could you please provide more details about the issue? Are you using a Mac or a Windows machine, and what version do you have? Could you share a screenshot of the app where the File option is not visible? Are you using the free Acrobat Reader app or the paid version of Acrobat Desktop?
Look for the Menu at the top left corner of the app, which has four horizontal bars ☰. Click on it, and look for Print.
Or use the shortcut: Ctrl + P (Windows) or Cmd + P (Mac).
We're here to help, just need more info.

Hello @vj83
I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.
The Adobe Acrobat mobile app on Android (and iOS) does not currently support Microsoft Information Protection (MIP)-protected PDFs natively. This limitation is expected behavior at this time. While MIP-protected PDFs can be opened on Windows and macOS using Adobe Acrobat (with MIP plugin or native support), mobile platforms like Android and iOS do not yet support this functionality within the Acrobat Reader app.
While there is no official timeline yet for Android support, we recommend monitoring updates via: Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader
I hope this helps.

Anand Sri.

Hello @trevettsd43915286
I hope you are doing well. Thanks for reaching out, and we're sorry for the trouble you had.
This issue is likely tied to a combination of:
Transparency blending issues: When Pantone spot colors are used with blending modes (e.g., Multiply, Screen), Acrobat may fail to render them correctly if the overprint preview is off or if the spot color is not fully defined in the PDF.
Overprint preview settings: Acrobat’s default display settings may not show overprinting spot colors unless explicitly enabled.
Suggestions:
To enable Overprint Preview in Acrobat, go to Menu > Preferences > Page Display and set Use Overprint Preview to Always. This ensures spot colors with transparency are rendered correctly on screen.
Preflight and Flatten Transparencies: In Acrobat Pro, use Print Production > Preflight to check for transparency issues. Use Flattener Preview in InDesign or Illustrator before exporting to PDF. Export using PDF/X-4 or PDF/X-1a standards to ensure compatibility.
Ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed: 25.001.20531 (Win) | 25.001.20529 (Mac), planned update June 10, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.

Hello @varase
I hope you are doing well. Thanks for reaching out, and we are sorry for the trouble you had.
Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel) are still trying to load Adobe’s MacPDFM.plugin or framework, which no longer exists because it was deleted manually. To do a clean uninstallation, you can use the Acrobat Cleaner tool to remove all the files related to the Acrobat trial and restart the machine.
CleanMyMac and similar tools often miss deep system-level plugin files or Office add-ins installed by any app. These leftover references cause Office to look for non-existent files, triggering the error. See this Microsoft article with detailed information: https://adobe.ly/3I5u5Na
Let us know how it goes, and feel free to reach out if you need any assistance.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Hello @mickael_7883
I hope you are doing well, and we are sorry for the trouble you had.
Could you please provide more details about the issue? Are you using a Mac or a Windows machine, and what version do you have? Have you tried performing a clean installation using the Acrobat Cleaner tool, rebooting your device, and then installing the free Acrobat Reader from the direct link? If you haven't done this yet, please give it a try.
If you have tried the steps, then please ensure you have all the mandatory and optional updates of the operating system installed, create a test user profile with full admin rights, install Acrobat Reader, and check the performance. Ensure that you don't have the Acrobat Pro Desktop version installed. As with the freeware Acrobat Reader, you can use it for viewing, printing, signing, sharing, and annotating PDFs. Any other services or tools that a part of Acrobat, you may get a message to subscribe.
If the issue continues, please provide the following information: the current version of the operating system on your device, a screen recording with the steps/workflowto reproduce the issue. and the logs from the affected machine. To collect the logs, download and run the Log Collector tool. Make sure to select all log options and attempt to reproduce the issue. Hello @Maritza31844488migi
I hope you are doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.
Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 25.001.20531 (Win) | 25.001.20529 (Mac), planned update June 10, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.
Are you on a Mac or a Windows machine, and what is the version?
This issue is often caused by:
Linked or duplicated text fields that share the same internal name or object ID.
Acrobat mistakenly treats static text boxes as form fields, especially when the file was created or edited using tools like InDesign, Word, or browser-based PDF editors.
Corrupted structure or metadata in the PDF that causes edits to propagate unintentionally.
Check for Shared Field Names. Even if it’s not a form, Acrobat may treat text boxes as fields if they share the same name:
Go to All Tools > Prepare Form Double-click the text box Check the field name; if it’s the same across pages, change it to something unique.
Flatten the PDF. Flattening removes interactive elements and makes the text static:
Open the PDF Go to Menu > Print > Save as PDF (this flattens the file) Reopen and try editing again.
Use “Edit PDF” Instead of “Prepare Form.” If you’re not working with forms, avoid using the “Prepare Form” tool. Instead:
Use All Tools > Edit PDF This ensures Acrobat treats the content as static text, not interactive fields.
If the issue continues, please provide the following information: the current version of the operating system on your device, a sample PDF file, a screen recording with the steps/workflow of the issue, and the logs from the affected machine. To collect the logs, download and run the Log Collector tool. Make sure to select all log options and attempt to reproduce the issue. Hello @AzgrymnThePale
I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.
Could you please share more details about the issue? Is it with one specific PDF for which you shared the screenshot of the thumbnail, or with all the PDFs? Are you on a Mac or Windows machine, and what is the version?
The white border around the "DungeonGate: Ashes of Hope" cover is likely not part of the artwork itself but a rendering artifact from the PDF viewer.
If you’re using Adobe Acrobat or Reader, Switch to Full-Screen Mode by pressing Ctrl + L (Windows) or Cmd + L (Mac) to enter full-screen view. This hides the interface and removes the white margin.
Change Page Display Settings:
Go to Menu > View > Page Display > Enable “Two Page View” or “Single Page View”. Also, enable “Show Cover Page in Two Page View” if needed. Disable “Show Gaps Between Pages” to eliminate white space.
Use “Fit to Page” or “Actual Size”:
In the toolbar, select Zoom > Fit to Page or Actual Size to better align the artwork with the viewer window.
If you have a different issue, or question, please share more details.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Hello @nmattew
I hope you are doing well.
++Adding to what our Adobe community product expert and employee have already shared,
This behavior typically occurs when:
The PDF form is filled in a browser-based viewer (like Edge or Chrome), which saves the data in a way that isn't fully compatible with Adobe Reader. The form is not Reader-enabled, meaning Adobe Reader cannot retain or display the filled data unless specific permissions are embedded
As correctly highlighted earlier, please ask the user to open and fill out the form using Acrobat Reader or the Acrobat Pro desktop app.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.
