Hi,
Don't you find horrible to see a bunch of pictures scolling as developping in LRC, only because the index finger has slightly touch the back of the mouse...
Does anyone know a way to deactivate this behavior, ideally only in LRC?
I wish Adobe offers a setting in the general preferences to solve this...

Hey, @ralphlouzon, & @karen_9635. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. Please share the system info from Lightroom from Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here. Has this started to happen since a recent update for Lightroom or the macOS? Please record your screen using a mobile device & send the video to me through direct message on my profile. Thanks! @mention Hi Sameer Here is the LrC system info. I don't remerber having had this problem on previous versions of Lightroom. It probably appeared on the two last releases. Nor sure... I send you the videos, it seems that I first have to upload them on Youtube... I cant see any attachment icon on the message box of your profile.

In full scree mode I often encounter the lost of the mouse pointer as I use the Brush Object (nothing on the image) or the Eraser tool (the mouse arrow instead of the circle). This issue does not occur with other tools, i.e. the Object mask in box selection (I see indeed the cross).
And never in the regular screen mode.
Reinitializing the preferences or GPU acceleration on OFF doesn't change anything.
Difficult to illustrate that as a sceenshot doesn't include the pointer...

LrC 14.0.1 MacOS 15.0.1

Hello, I encounter sometimes (too often) a very strong and blinding pure yellow box as the image is redisplayed after some operations like Before/after (Y) or a crop. So quick that a screen capture is quite difficult to achieve. Maybe it is related to the MacOS version: Macbook pro M1, OS: 14.4.1 Is there any feedback on this? It is rather anoying. Thank you

After a crop, I noticed that the whole picture is used by Lightroom when erasing details (spot removal) in the corners or the edges of a picture. The result is that quite often there is something of the cropped section in the corrected zone. I guess that taking into account the cropped image and not the whole one would be more efficient...
To make myself clear an example attanched, the crop and the result. I finally used the healing tool to get a satisfaying result.

Being able to reorder masks would be a nice addition. Example: I create an AI sky mask, apply some settings, then duplicate and invert this mask to work on the ground. In the mask list the sky is below and the ground at the top. Not intuitive at all...

As I use a second monitor, I have some issues with the main one: Grid (G) is ok, but Loupe (E) leads me to the Grid display. Develop (D) is ok. On the second monitor everything is fine, Grid (Shift-G) and Loupe (Shift-E) work perfectly. Is this normal or a bug? I have the feeling that things didn't go this way in a recent past...

I think that it would be fine and mode consistent to jump from the Lib module to the Dev module as soon as a command shortcut is specifically assigned to a Dev fonctionnality.
For instance stroking "Y" for the before/after comparison in the Lib module (loop view) is not accepted, we have to first stike D and then Y. And I use this sequence a lot.
The behaviour is different with some others shortcuts: from the Lib module Shift-V (french layout, I guess it is Shift-W in english) leads directly to the Dev module and opens the mask panel, and it is fine this way.
Thank you.

My software language is french, I should have clarified that. I understand your point and acknowlege that the shortcuts are so numerous that it is dificult to add a kb customization feature in LRC. Nonetheless, when a shortcut is only avalaible in the Dev module, it would be fine to go automatically to this module without having to select it ("D"), i.e. "Y" for the before/after comparison (in french and english keyboard at least).

If an image is displayed in the Lib module, some shorcuts lead to the Dev module and some do not. For instance, starting from the Lib module in Loop view: Shift-V directly leads to the Dev module and open the masks panel, but as we press Y to compare the before-after photo nothing happens (manually going to the Dev module is needed). I find this behaviour rather inconsistent.

One thing I don't like in the Dev module is when the mask panel is opened with no mask selected, it's still possible to move the sliders (exposition etc.) but without any effect on the image.
I would much prefer to have the entire Dev tools available for global adjustments (despite the masks panel opened) OR a warning: "please select a mask" OR all the Dev sliders greyed out.
I find the present configuration pretty confusing and not consistent.

Thank you for the insight, Color.io seems very cool and powerful. But I'd rather have a proper nice grain feature directly in Lightroom... 🙂

Yes, I do the same, two or three lumisosity masks to differanciate the grain. But it is slower and I have to reconsider the lum masks from one picture to another. In Photoshop, adding a pure grain layer in Overlay mode to the background picture gives better results than the grain tool in LRC. Adobe could do someting similar in Lightroom I guess...: choosing a grain type from a panel of grain, overlaying the effect in various ways, setting the opacity of the effect. A little bit of Photoshop in Lightroom and avoid creating a TIF or PSD file just for that.

Hello, Does anyone kwowns a way to lock the screens presentation as we use two monitors and save the setting? I like to put the Shift-G grid presentation on a second monitor and stay in Dev module on the main screen. Can't find anything like that, and it would be very useful to avoid windows jumps if we hit the wrong key (G for instance)... Thanks

With HEIC iPhone photos I found this strage behavior: After removing various spots, and other corrections, the picture is fine in the Dev volume. But in the Library module the picture is as in the screenshot, with the spots vivible. And we can also notice that the AI mask on the sweatshirt is not displayed. As I zoom in and out in this picture in the Library, the image becomes normal.

Denoise AI is fine (although the resulting files are rather huge compared to DXO or Topaz). But I would like to preview the result in the before/after box without the coloured noise in the "before" display. Just as it occurs in the classic denoising effect. By default the Raw image is already coloured denoised, why showing something that as already disapeared? Only luminance noise is required, precisely what we see before clicking on Denoise AI...

I agree, Curves is a delicate tool to deal with and deserve more precision. In Capture One we can extract the curve of the adjustments panel and to make it larger as long as necessary. Clever.

As you compare the grain effect beetwen Lightroom Classic and Silver Efex, you can see that SE is more natural, as the LR grain seems to be plastered on the entire image: the shadows and highlights are equaly recovered with grain while very bright zones shouldn't. It is very visible on B&W pictures. On a picture if I add film grain effect, I use a Luminance mask and reduce the grain slider to reduce grain impact on the Highlights. Not bad but not quite satisfying.
I wish LR could implement a better film looking grain. Maybe a slider "preserve HL" could be added in the Grain panel, as it exists in the Vignette panel.
Hope this idea helps.

Hi, The fake lens blur is cool, but I think Adobe should concentrate on existing and not quite totally satisfaying features... and I mean the masking tools. 1) Feathering the mask (or smoothing the edges, or refining the selection...) is really a mandatory, number of times I found that the edge beetwen a body and the backgroung in a studio shoot is not good, for instance darkening the background bleeds on the edge of the body, even in areas just slightly out of focus (and I tried AI background, AI background + substract person, AI person and inversion and so on...). In this regard Capture One manage often to be better with its "magic brush". 2) Objects: - We need a shortcut to add several objects without clicking again and again... And maybe an option for grouping all the strokes on a single line (I sometimes have to deal with dozens of objects). - The brush mode for Objects should have a sensitivity setting, it is often too selective to get the whole area (even on a studio plain background) which leads to a number of clicks to add objects. - or instead the latter suggestion, I would love to see a third option for Objects like the C1/Photoshop magic brush! Thank you

Hi,
I don't understand why the new Point color is not available in a B&W picture edited from an original in color.
It could be nice to adjust HSL in a specific area based on the original color file, even if we are in a monochrom adjsutments session.
Thanks
