When creating a multi camera sequence by audio currently, it creates a new video and audio track PER CLIP. When creating a multicam sequence by timecode metadata, it allows for track assignments by camera label. Using camera label metadata, the end result is one video and one audio track PER CAMERA. It would be useful in speeding up workflows to have this camera label functionality work when syncing by audio as well.

When doing audio based syncing of tracks, premiere seemingly has no way to tag cameras like you can with timecode metadata to create 1 video track per camera. Instead, it creates 1 video track per CLIP. At this point I am syncing one camera at a time against a primary full length audio track. Is there a way to quickly merge all the clips down to 1 video track? Almost like a "merge visible" in photoshop. It seems the "merge" functionality is dithered so it must not be meant for this?

"That probably wouldn't work well. " But there are cases where it would work great. Like setting your camera, audio recorders to the exact as possible time in the morning.. you could film and record audio all day and aligning each device on the timeline based on create date would be close enough to not get confused on what goes where if there isnt good audio on a camera. I have a feeling it really isnt that much to ask to sync by create date, but for some reason the pros always seem to comments on the threads requesting this and shut it down.

It is shocking to me reading the responses below on this topic.. You have people suggesting cell phone or action camera video cant possibly be used in professional production.. people missing the point suggesting time code audio generators.. and people missing the point suggesting syncing by audio.. Premiere isnt just professional use software anymore, and the definition of professional includes YouTube quality video now, not just Cinema. Fact is this is a simple request.. when I highlight clips and create a multi-camera sequence, just give me the option under "Syncronize point" to use date/time the file was modified which is usually the date/time it was filmed. I recall several years ago during a Rally (cars driving on 10+ mile stretches of dirt roads) a competeitor asking people to send in clips they took of their car on a rally stage.. something like this would be perfect to quickly align files across many devices on a timeline likely within a few seconds margin. In my case, its youtube use but I want to use video from my Insta360 X3 and have Premiere align them to my gopro footage from 2 other cameras. Across 4 hours of fishing and using loop mode that creates 1 minute increment videos, I need an automatic alignment based on time created.

I filmed an event with 3 cameras (2 gopro and one Insta360 X3) at different angles that were on and off recording throughout a 4 hour period. At times all three were going but most of the time there are long gaps where none are fliming. When I drag each cameras clips onto the premiere timeline, can I have empty gaps between clips added based on the files creation date/time? I dont need perfect alignment since I dont have fancy timecode devices, but within the minute based on file creation date is enough where I can managed the rest of the way. Just in case the above isnt explained clear enough, as an example, lets just say there is one camera and it records from 9:00 to 9:05 then from 9:30-10:00. I would like to drag both clips onto the timeline and have a 25 minute gap between the 2 clips on the timeline. This seems like an obvious feature for wedding videographers who may have some drone, non-time code secondary camera footage or gopro footage (Ive seen it mentioned on FB groups).

It has been doing this across multiple computers in my home across multiple years now. Its on Adobe at third point. The only quick workaround is to export audio first, put the new audio track on the timeline and mute all other audio tracks, then export the whole thing.

"I think the idea is to ingest AV1 videos into Media Encoder and then export them as H.264 or another friendly format" That is not the goal at all. AV1 is the final format we want to export for storage and uploading to youtube.

More than 2 years later, I am still dealing with this issue on a regular basis. I don't trust my exports anymore, I have to watch them fully through before uploading to youtube which is the usual place I do a last watch before publishing.

I just had to do the youtube copyright dispute process and just wanted to toss out an easy enhancement adobe should do. When you go to license history, you cant actually see the names of songs. When I got a copyright flag on youtube, they only showed me the song name. So when you go to license history to grab the keycode, you have to know the artist and if you have multiple songs by the same artist.. well its a mess.

Its still embarassing for such a large company to not be proactive with major manufacturers. The camera has been in the hands of early reviewers for months now. One would think sony could coordinate this with adobe for release. If it is more than one month after the official aug 31st release date then why bother renew service when my year expires coming soon if its literally unusable for me?

The 2 computer limit is killing the usabilty of this expensive CC subscription.. I have 3 computers.. one just needs acrobat, the rest need photoshop/premiere. Every time I want to do something like convert a document in file explorer in windows to a PDF I get the "your request could not be completed. Adobe acrobat license has either expired or not been activated. Try launching Adobe Acrobat" Fair.. its a 3rd computer.. so I open Acrobat as instructed and nothing happens and it still doesnt work. Next I open photoshop which pops up the license limitation and allows me to inactive a computer and activate the Acrobat computer.. All should be good now?? Nope... still cant convert a word file to PDF.. same popup. So what is the work around now that my computer is activated yet it still doesnt work? Why hasnt this been fixed and why isnt it seemless? Icing on the BS cake is that, before installing the full version of acrobat, converting to PDF just worked fine without any license! I would be more efficent with it uninstalled except that I on occasion actually need to edit a PDF. If you are going to put limitations on my license, at least make it so it isnt a nightmare to work around! Its slowing my productivity down.

have the same issue right now.. thanks for posting your fix to save me time.. I just had to close premiere and reopen and wait about 3 minutes and then the "file>Export" started to work again and bring up the export settings window.
