Hi @dsol21, Thank you for reporting this issue. Yes, we are aware of this bug in 25.3 and working on a fix. That last logged message is likely to be a red herring—while AE has previously utilized WMIC to read some system attributes, do so is designed to timeout gracefully if WMIC is not present.   When this crash occurs, does the Crash Reporter dialog show up? If so, please submit those crash reports with the same email as your CC account. Those reports are critical in our investigations of these issues.   It would also be helpful to see a full application log. Since After Effects is not able to launch, you can enable logging by creating a file named "After Effects Log.txt" in "C:\Users\<yourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\25.3\logs", which will then capture the application log when After Effects is launched.   Thank you for any further information, - John, After Effects Engineering Team  ... I attempted to recreate your issue on Windows using 3 4K MP4s at 50fps, but was unable to see the same poor preview performance after applying Warp Stabilizer.   In the video you shared, I'm not able to see the settings you've used when creating the proxies, which may have an effect on the performance. Would you be able to re-record the same repro with dialogs and menus shown so that we can further investigate?   Additionally, are you rendering the proxies to the same storage location as the original files? Hi @Wilson5E7C, Thank you for reporting this issue. In 25.3, we've introduced a new Smooth Zoom in the viewer panels, which includes new defaults for the zoom behavior.   In Preferences > Previews, there is new section for Magnification, where you can change the default behavior of zoom to be centered on either the mouse or the comp center. @andybarbo, I'm sorry to hear that this is still occurring for you. Along with uninstalling/reinstalling Adobe products, have you uninstalled and reinstalled Maxon C4D? Our uninstallers and CC Cleaner do not remove C4D, so that is the next step you might try. Uninstall After Effects, then uninstall C4D (following their uninstall instructions), and then reinstall After Effects. Is the remote debugging working for you in the previous major version (24.6) or the previous minor version (25.1) of After Effects? Both should still be available via the Creative Cloud app for you to test.
