Yeah same settings in ME. ME Set Timecode is always ; rather than : for timecode so it looks like it's just set that way as default rather than changing based on source timecode it should be reading.

After exporting and re-importing the clip starts at 09:59:49:23 not 09:59:50:00 and active visuals start at 09:59:59:23 and not 10:00:00:00 as within the original sequence. The duration and framerate of the export appears to be correct - just the timecode has been shifted If I export directly from Premiere and do not use AME the timecode works as expected - visuals start at 09:59:50:00 and active visuals start at 10:00:00:00

Hi, When exporting a sequence from PP to AME - when setting 'Set Start Timecode' this only accepts Drop Frame timecode and not 25 PAL. I've set it to 09:59:55:00 within the preset - however when importing the clip back in the clip has a start timecode of 09:59:54:23 Sequence is 50i and the Preset is AVC Intra 100 25 Upper Field First Premiere 25.2.3 Build 4

Hi, This appears to have made its way into 2025 Premiere Pro - although, not quite the same bug. Premiere no longer locks up but the outputted picture does. Premiere will play the timeline fine but the picture on the output monitor will remain stuck. The outputted image will update once the timeline has been paused. A restart of Premiere usually fixes the issue until it happens again.

Adobe's AS-11 preset worked at some stage in earlier versions. It now doesn't. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I would surely hope they didn't update the preset - test it against Vidchecker and seen that it doesn't work and decided to continue with the updated preset regardless. That helps no one.

My guess for other Premiere users not having this issue is that they're using Content Agent or even Vantage made by Telestream to make the DPP AS-11 package and not using Premiere's AS-11 preset directly. I for one - export as AVC-Intra 100 for commercials and Promotions and don't use the AS-11 preset for internal deliveries at the broadcaster I work for. I've only used the AS-11 preset today as I needed to export proper AS-11 compliant files for a programme. My annoyance about this is that Adobe have made a preset that clearly doesn't work with one of the biggest AQC software packages. There's no use in which the other user is stating that Adobe have made the metadata correctly if it doesn't allow you to use it with Vidchecker. It's worked at some stage, as I've done AS-11 exports on earlier versions with no issue.

I can put good money on that no one from Adobe has reached out to Telestream about this issue - given that this appears to have been going on for some time now. I had to chase Adobe for over a year to fix a Blackmagic issue, and they fully expected me to relay messages between the two companies.

Too busy focusing on AI features than making the basics work. It's not the first time I've had issues with Adobe not working with industry standard kit - they often expect you to be the messenger boy between Adobe and the other company - rather than them just taking the time to do some actual testing themselves.

It's not really up to us the users to make Adobe applications compatible with industry standard software. Adobe should be testing it against software like Vidchecker when they're making an DPP export preset. It's next to useless if Vidchecker won't accept it when it accepts Avid AS-11 files.

Re-wrapping the files in the out of support DPP App fixes it - which to me shows it's not a vidchecker issue, as my work doesn't have the same issue with Avid exports or by using the DPP App.

I'm having this issue also - I'm not sure if it's really Vidcheckers fault as the 'Color Space' from Adobe AS-11 files are showing as 'Unknown' in other metadata apps....

Hi Kevin, Thanks for responding. The bug is present across all of our Macs and PCs. Blackmagic Ultra Extreme 3 (Thunderbolt and PCI Cable kit). Also present on my home PC which uses the Blackmagic Mini HD Playback card. One of your colleagues in video playback stated they were aware of the bug at the time of the call we had last year.

Hi, The timecode within the source window keeps resetting whilst the peak file for the loaded clip is generated. If I import a large file and Premiere starts to generate the peak file (bottom right) if you try and enter in timecode to the source window clip - the timecode will keep resetting - meaning you are unable to enter in timecode until the peak file is generated. 24.4.1 Build 2 MacStudio M1

Adobe Media Encoder will automatically rename inputted source files to their embedded tape name if there is one. For example: Source File: Drone Footage Comp 001 Tape Name: Drone Glasgow 22-06-24 Adobe Media Encoder will output the file as Drone Glasgow 22-06-24 and totally disregard the original file name. This is also true for transcoding AS-11 MXF files. AS-11 files will have their production ID as a tape name, and AME will output the file as the production ID. This may be helpful in some situations, but it really should be keeping original file names by default - especially when you're transcoding lots of files.

Bring back scroll bars! At least provide a context menu option to enable it again. I remote work and using the middle mouse button over remote software is flaky as hell.

We had to return our £8,000 Threadripper PC because of this issue. No amount of tweaking SMT ever truly got rid of the issue. I cannot believe this is only now being fixed - All the top PC vendors selling Threadrippers are advertising them as Premiere Pro Workstations.

This is now affecting Adobe Media Encoder. I dropped in a batch of DJI Drone footage and manually set the preset to Quicktime ProRes Proxy (not a saved preset) and for some reason it has transcoded one of the clips to 720 DV out of a batch of 30 clips. The rest were fine - for some reason AME has decided to encode that one clip at totally the wrong settings.

This is still an issue. Presets are being loaded automatically with the wrong settings. It appears to be defaulting to 720x486 - 29.97FPS - The preset for example would be 1920x1080 25fps.

Yeah - done that. We work with a lot of external editors, and it's good to be able to point to a standard sequence template rather than providing instructions on how to set up a sequence to our spec.

Hi, I've noticed that a new update to Premiere Pro has included new sequence settings. We edit for broadcast in interlaced 50i sequence's but with stereo audio. We've been using the AVC-Intra 100 50i Stereo setting that has now been moved to 'Legacy'. Yes, final master exports for broadcast are mono, but we still edit within stereo sequences. Our audio dubbing team export a stereo wav which is placed under the final sequence and exported as AVC-I 50i 4 Channel Mono. Please include a Broadcast 'Stereo' standard template. Since Premiere doesn't work like Avid and ingests media as mono - I'm not sure what Adobe are thinking here? If you have media as stereo but need it within a 50i/25i sequence, are you supposed to convert/transcode it to break it out to mono?

Hi, I've noticed this issue for a little while now. When you export a file from Premiere Pro and the 'Export' panel loads up. The export panel has loaded with my export preset 'AD AS-11' This should be AVC-Intra 100 1080i 25 fps. However, the export panel is by default going to export the sequence as 720x486 29.97fps. Only by re-selecting the preset from the drop-down menu does the correct preset settings lock in. It doesn't happen every single time - once corrected, it appears to stick for a while. Sporadically, the 'Export' panel appears to just pick a random set of export settings that are not true to the preset loaded.
