Not sure what you mean by "unlike some here"... Anyway you help people and I do respect that. How ever it does change the fact that Adobe should work better to please their monthly paying clients who equipe themselves with new gear. And as a top company should update their softwares accordingly seamlessly. I won't repeat myself on the issue, it's a fact they should do better no matter what. Salut l'ami

pfff I am not asking you to feel guilty or what ever, you answered my post I did not ask for you. I am complaining to Adobe for them to address that issue, who are you? are you working for Adobe, are you represent them? If you are just to defend them by agreeing they still didn't find a solution after decades of complains... You do a very bad job... Au revoir.

Yes it is exactly what I say... The issue is well known and still it is always the same... Decades... And still no proper answer from adobe to put something in place. What ever the solution is they should be able to find one by then. Others did already update their software why Adobe did not? Because they do updates only every 8 weeks? Is that solving the problem to you? being so rigid on their time line? No they should do a fast track realease only to let their clients being able to use the gear they are buying. And that as fast as possible. Why? well to please them because they pay monthly for that. If it's a recurring problem put a process in place, sorry to tell you that again but having this issue for decades and still not have manage to do better is a real lack of answer from a company which is a world leader... Having a few days gape is one thing, weeks is unacceptable, especially when you actually don't even have a date. We are working with theses pro-software. Drop your undeffective support for them and face the truth, they are bad on this issue and they been for decades as you say yourself... It's by accepting your weakness that you become better, Adobe should know that.

Then be proactive an plan updates accordingly... If the door is lock try the windows. Once again what's make a great company is finding solutions and please clients. Right now Adobe fails...

Very short vision to solving the issue... My answer is work hand in hand with manufacturers, that's what Adobe should do. And don't tell me it's not possible... once again that's irrelevant... Be proactive, if a new model is announced, plan your update accordingly. Adobe should be seemlessly updated with cameras, it's simply common sense. Not even trying (especially when it's recurrent) means, they don't care... and so don't care of the inconvenience for their clients...

Well to me it just show that Adobe does not want to solve the issue. An issue is not necessary technical... That's why Adobe management should work harder to solve it, and don't tell me it's because of Sony, that's irrelevant...

I know Adobe will make an update, of course they can, of course they will. But that's not the point... The point is, they should be pro-active to not face theses issues anymore... They can? They will? Apparently they did not find a solution yet... Will they? The problem here is not new and not technical, but management with camera manufacturer, so it's even easier to take care of.

Well you say, it's always like that when a new camera is out... If it is always like that, it's mean to me that its not the first time clients are complaining about the situation right? So the situation is known. So if it's known and the situation keep coming up, to me it means "We can't". And if you tell me to be patient (when others already update their software), to me it means "Deal with it". Finally the "Bye" is the lack of communication about the subject. I don't know if you guys noticed but it's 10 pages of complains here on the same subject. If it is the same each time, I do think Adobe should take care of it once for good and start being proactive on the issue. "May be I should be a tiny more patient"? Is it the answer? I am making money with my pictures, and that's answer Adobe answer "Wait"? Plus BTW what do you mean by "tiny" it been weeks now... So yes sorry if it doesn't please you, but right now what I hear from Adobe is "Oh we can't... Deal with it... Bye"

That's really piss me off... Been weeks now. Adobe is supposed to work for pros? Do everything to let them work then, you are currently delaying my work. Is it a pro position to you??? That is not annoying, it is unacceptable for pros, you guys have to review your copy, your workflow and management, once again unacceptable, not pro-active, not serious, not pro. What saves you is your dominance on the market... Otherwise your careless position toward your clients would harm you... Enough of saying it's always like that. Enough of saying you can't do anything about it. Is it with that kind of mindset Adobe became an industry leader? By saying "Oh we can't... deal with it... bye" If you guys know there is a pain, solve it, that's how you please clients and win the market. I can't believe your statuquo...

Stop complaining and pay your monthly fee to be able to use the lastest update of your Lightroom or Photoshop. You hear what you want in latest update... You know when you pay, not when you'll be able to use your gear... Adobe is a tiny company you know, the few developpers in the team need time to figure out how manage RAW files... (its not something they do much often...). And Sony is bad! They don't give the files! Booooooooh!!!! Honestly head quarters in both companies should work a tiny bit together in order to avoid thoses pages and pages of complaints... I do try to figure out why a world top camera manufacturer would not be agree to have their latest gear working seemlessly with the most used photo editing softwear in the world the day their product is out... And I don't understand... Unless they don't really care about their clients... You are paying anyways, it seems to be enough. Complaints, droping the hype, whatever the situation is, they are too big to fail and they know it. They don't even bother to answer you... That's how much they care about you... Oh and by the way! It's YOUR fault! You should have checked out if your software is compatible with your camera before you purchased it! Haaaaaa... Ok so I pay for a constant updated softwear every months, but I should check if it is updated before I buy gear... Right... Thanks guys that's all make sense... I do complain to Sony too BTW, they are exactly like Adobe, they don't seem to care much...

True Adobe is such a tiny company with a handful of developpers... And surely Sony don't care to have their camera shipped and not working with standard software... Once I don't say who's right or wrong, just not fair for their clients. On the top of we don't even know when we will be able to use our camera with our subscription...

Once again this is not serious and more over not acceptable for worldwild and leader companies as Adobe and Sony. I am not trying to say who is right or wrong... It is just unfairful for their clients, and more over for pros. What they do behind the scene is their business, what they are suppose to do is satisfy their clients. The camera been announced for quite a while and been shipped for weeks. Excusing Adobe to take is time to a routing job as adding new cameras is irrelevant. This is probably the most routing task they have to do on their updates. More over when it's about a Sony (top manufacturer) and a very awaited product... They both should be proactive, unless being in the leader position place you in a such conforatble place that your clients (who pay monthly) can wait.

I don't find it very serious from both company TBH... Lots of desapointments from clients who are unable to use their gear, especially from a company which make you pay monthly apparently to make sure you get frequent and fast updates. Sony is a leader in camera manufacturing, Adobe is a leader in photo softwear, can't they plan together their release and show why they are on this position? Should be a lesson from both, it really dropped the hype.

Thanks again Gary, yes my MacBook Pro and his 16Gb of Ram are definitely too small and already think of a Macmini with a lot of Ram for next. It's probably the main issue here. however with my activity I don't have much choice, many surfers many shoots, many sequences, it's how I am doing it... I was believing Bridge would be more appropriate for the sorting part. If it's not, I'll have to go for better sized equipment which is already plan. thank you again Gary for your input, it definitely clarified points to me. best regards Bert

Thanks for your input Gary, yes it's what I deducted, I am shooting a lot of surfing in continuous mode to sell them, and so it's a lot of files (about 5000 per shooting day) and about 70 surfers so I am stacking them, starting with an auto-stack set at 1 sec and then I start a manual stack. It's a bit of work but have to be done... Lightroom CC is ok to do but my computer slow down (not sure why...). So Bridge for that part of the work should be the app to be used, stacking, color code, keywords and then back to Lightroom for editing... but unfortunately I don't find Bridge that helpful for so many files, and this kind of funsctionnality is missing to help, which is a shame as it is a file manager app when Lightroom is more oriented for editing... Bridge would be faster for that first part of the work... any how thanks for the answer Gary! cheers

Hello Adobe community! I am managing and sorting alot of images through my photography sport activity, and usually use Lightroom classic to sort and stack images. Unfortunatly Lightroom is very slow probably due the quantity of files to manage. I am using in Lightroom classic the function auto-stack by capture time to help me as a first step to group the files taken in continuous mode. I would like to use Bridge (faster) to sort my pictures out before starting my editing work, but I can't find that function into it which is annoying, plus if I do an auto-stack in Lightroom Classic I wont find my sorting in bridge to complete the sorting work. Anyone could help me on that topic? May be by switch from Lightroom and Bridge with their different functionnalities? Otherwise that would be interesting for Adobe to include the auto-stack function from Lightroom Classic into Bridge as it is supposed to be the application to organise your files more than Lightroom. Thanks Bert
