I'm having persistent "We can't verify your subscription status" errors each day I launch Photoshop. This started happening about two weeks ago. Nothing on my computer has changed, no major upgrades or updates were done to it. I have an iMac M3 (2023) running macOS 15.5 with 24 GB RAM. I've tried many things to solve this problem, including the following: Confirmed my Mac's clock is being synched automatically Firewall turned off on my network Using Google's DNS for my WiFi service Not using any VPNs Used the CreativeCloudCleanerTool to remove CC and Photoshop apps fully Deleted the Adobe cache files from ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE Deleted all Adobe and CC entries from Keychain Killed any CC or Adobe processes still running in Activity Montior Rebooted my computer Re-installed CC and Photoshop and logged back into my CC account Despite doing all this, every day when I start Photoshop (26.8.1) I get the above subscription error window. I then have to open CC app, sign out of my account, then sign back in. Then Photoshop will start up fine throughout the day. This seems to have all started after I changed my plan from a monthly payment to a yearly payment a few weeks ago. When I log into my Adobe account, above the Billing and Payment section it says "You'll be able to manage this plan shortly," but it's been saying that for weeks. Is this what's causing these "can't verify subscription" errors?

Not sure if this is related at all, but, I noticed when I logged into my Adobe account that above my Billing and Payment it says "You'll be able to manage this plan shortly," but it's been saying that for weeks. I forgot that a few weeks ago I renewed to a yearly-paid plan from a monthly paid plan, and now I'm wondering if this is what's causing the problems with the subscription?

Hi, I recently re-installed CC and Photoshop on a new computer, and now I'm seeing a little red error icon on the Adobe Creative Cloud icon in my toolbar. When I click on it to open the app, there are no messages in there telling me what the problem is. When I click on the Cloud icon in the app, everything looks okay: How do I find out what the error is about?

I don't even know what this is called, it's some kind of contextual floating toolbar that's just appeared suddenly, and I'm finding it really annoying. How do I get rid of it? When I chose "pin" it only stays pinned for that document session, it keeps reverting to floating around, so, I'd just like to remove it completely.

I realize it makes more sense to use an application for vector graphics to create a vector file. But Photoshop also has vector capabilities and created good SVG exports when you used only vector shapes and text layers. Not everyone needs or can afford Adobe's subscription for both Photoshop and Illustrator. Adding one more app doubles your monthly fee. I do web design and primarily use Photoshop, I don't really have a need for Illustrator. If you are primarily creating SVG or vector graphics for websites, then it does make sense to lease Illustrator. But if you already have a tool that provides what you need, as Photoshop did for many, removing SVG export just seems like another money grab by Adobe. Based on the many replies to this thread, it's apparent Adobe removed a tool from Photoshop that many others found useful. I solved the problem by buying Affinity Designer, because it's a low, one-time fee to get a very capable illustration app that can export SVG files. But now I have to use two different apps to do what I was able to do with one Adobe app. That doesn't improve my workflow or give me a better result, IMO. Lots of us were just fine with the SVG export from Photoshop, which, as I mentioned above, was actually pretty good when you used only vector shapes and text layers. In fact, I preferred the SVG export files from Photoshp than the ones I get from Affinity Designer. Photoshop's SVG output was actually leaner and cleaner.

Nancy OShea: "...you probably have no idea what I'm talking about. What's the old saying, ignorance is bliss?" Perhaps Nancy needs to be careful about implying the same about others in this forum. Or is implying lack of exerptise and experience only reserved for Community Professionals?

It seems that your disdain for SVG export in Photoshop has more to do with a lack of experience or knowledge of vector vs. raster layers in Photoshop, which is why you've got a PNG image embedded in your SVG file. That's not Photoshop's fault, that's purely user error. But as you say: ignorance is bliss!

I found the experimental SVG export feature was a nice idea that was never fully realized. I prefer that Photoshop focus on what it does best, not what it does it poorly. See, that's just it. Photoshop did SVG export VERY well! In fact, I tried several other programs, and Photoshop always produced the smallest and most efficient SVG files from vectors and text. So I completely disagree with the assertion that Photoshop didn't do SVG export well. Also, Photoshop has long had the ability to create vector graphics. People generally knew that if you make a PS file with only vector shapes, then it will export very cleanly to SVG. It's pretty clear that Adobe wants you to pay monthly for another piece of their subscription software just to do SVG exports. There's really little reason they had to remove SVG export from Photoshop. They called it "experimental" to make it seem like no one used it and that it was problematic, which is false.

Well Photoshop can handle both vector and raster data, and it output SVG files perfectly when the image contained just shapes. I think Adobe just wants to force people who need SVG for web development to lease another app from them for a monthly fee. Instead I bought Affinity Designer for $50 to do SVG exports of vector images. It works very well, and I now have an illustration app for those odd times I need one without paying a monthly ransom to Adobe.

Why is there no way to edit posts here? I meant to say that the new exporter is a lot faster than the old legacy one you're forced to use if you want SVG export capability.

No, I mean that the new Export As is much much faster than the old Save As Web legacy exporter tool that's needed for SVG, which is horribly slow.

THE REAL CORRECT ANSWER I see 3 posts that have been labeled as Correct Answers (not by me), but this is the only correct answer... I solved the problem by buying Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo. They both export to SVG without having to jump through all the hoops Adobe is now forcing us to do for SVG export that Photoshop previously did well, and is now for some unkown reason removed and left in a "legacy" mode that is slow and klugey. Thanks, Adobe. 🙄

SIGH! Why does Adobe keep removing features that people are still using? SVG is now a very popular format for web development. The Legacy Export option is so incredibly slow, that's a terrible workaround. I use Photoshop mostly for web development, and the SVG export from PS was better than another app I was using. So disappointing they're removing that option when it worked great, this just keeps pushing me to other non-Adobe apps for design.

Hi Jane, it seems to be the case for any file that I've opened so far. I tried creating a new simple document with two simple shape layers, and there's no SVG option in the export panel. I'm using an M1 iMac, is anyone else using one of those and having the same problem?

No. There are a lot of file type options available for Save as a Copy, but none are SVG. It seems to be completely missing from my version for some reason, even though I know I could do it a few months ago.

I have a PS file that has text that I converted to a shape, plus another shape. I want to convert that to an SVG file, but, when I use the Explort As dialog, the only export file options are GIF, PNG and JPG. If I do Save As, the only options are Photoshop, Large Document Format, Photoshop PDF, and TIFF.
I searched the help system, there's nothing there that I can find. Did they remove SVG export from Photoshop?? I sure hope not. I have Photoshop 22.4.3.

I've tried to add feedback on the Adobe Feedback Forum about the fact they removed the pixel line tool, but I can't log in using my Adobe Forum account, even though it says that's what I should use to sign in. How do I log in there to add feedback? I really need this pixel line tool back, I use it often!

Good that they finally did this, but for me it's too little too late because I'm about to cancel my CC subscription anway which renews next month. The price is still too high, Adobe just added 30% onto all their Canadian subscription prices, so they will actually be more expensive now than they were after converting to US$. Raising their prices at a time when so many small businesses are stuggling financially was really a bad idea.

Why must GPU support be disabled just to get a grid that is usable? This is a really bad "feature", grids are pretty important for most layout work done in Photoshop, and they are now basically unusuable when they look like this. The lines in that grid I posted above are about 3-pixels thick, how is that useful for aligning things precisely? It isn't. The grid didn't look like this before, so this has got to be some kind of bug. If not, what a way to ruin a perfectly good grid overlay that looked and worked great before.

What the heck happend to the grid lines in Photoshop 2020 (21.2.1)? I just noticed they are thicker and chunky and look like crap at 100%. I have the grid set to show a line every 40 pixels with 4 subdivisions, which I've used for many years. But this is now how it looks at 100% view: The grid lines used to be crisp and clear at 100%, now it looks like garbage. This is terrible, Adobe. Please fix this. I'm running Photoshop on an iMac 27 (no Retina display).

I have Photoshop 21.1.3. Every time I used an adjustment palette, such as Hue/Saturation or Levels, Photoshop freezes or becomes really slow and sluggish. This has been going on for over a month now. I saw the workaround about turning off rulers. This works a little, but, the sliders are really difficult to use because the interface becomes slow and jerky. Photoshop has basically become unusable for me. How do I fix this? I have an iMac 27 running the latest version of Catalina macOS.

macOS Mojave 10.14.6. Also, the illustration software I'm using is Affinity Designer. I'd love to use Adobe Illustrator instead, but, if I added that to my subscription it would cost 3X more per month and I can't justify the cost for how little I need to use it.
