I have found that using the iPhone 'Lightroom' app works great for uploading to my desktop Lightroom Classic system. I import from the device 'Photos' and can select which ones I want and do this in batch. I think only the DNG gets transferred....but that is the one I want anyway. I only need the jpeg if I want to send to someone immediately from the 'Photos' app.

Thanks for getting this over to LRc....really been waiting for it. is the a KB shortcut to start the AI Denoise, like 'Enhance' did? Also, once 'Denoise' is check, are there KB shortcuts for the slider?

It was asked and an answer was given by someone. The answer was because of syncing to LR Mobile. I and others do not agree that this should be a reason not to offer the new technology to LRc. Other items are available in LRc which are not available for syncing to Mobile...for example enhanced Denoise and Adaptive Profiles (I believe...do not use Mobile much at all)

I was quite disappointed that the Camera Raw "Technology Previews", particularly Denoise of RAW (no DNG) were not available in this release. I really do not understand the reasoning for restricting these functions to CR. LRc users, I would think, are just as able as CR users to decide to use them or not and to provide feedback.

You don't say much about the other factors, such as how the QNAP is attached and if you are building previews. I have my Synology (8 bay, so many actuators) attached at 10GB. If I import (ADD) with minimal previews, it takes very little time. If I import with 2880 standard previews (4K monitor), it takes significantly longer. (I am now using John Ellis' AnySource plugin, which will build previews in background)

Question.....does the Adaptive profile execution rely primarily on the CPU or GPU? My quick observation is that it is more CPU dependent.

I was actually hoping that Adobe would look at the files and results. The significant difference in final 'brightness' seems strange based on sub second difference in time taken. Particularly since the base RAWs did not show any brightness difference (no strobes from pro photogs).

Ok....I cannot figure it out. Pics taken in burst mode, same exposure settings....different look with Adaptive Color. Select them, auto sync, apply profile. It will not be instant, as the AI takes some time....a box will pop up with est. time. Naming is always an issue...and open to individual interpretation.... my view....it is an 'Adaptive' profile...one for 'Color'and one for 'B&W'. It is not indicating just color being adjusted. It is also adjusting much more than exposure, so that name would be even more misleading. Again, this is a profile change which does global and local adjustments, the other profiles, plus 'Auto', do only global adjustments.

The first times I tried Adaptive Color...on Camera Raw, before available on LRc...I thought it was awful.....until I realized that I was trying it with the images 'post-edited' using other normal profiles. The problem was, the Adaptive Color profile did work on the base RAW, but the old slider adjustments from the normal profiles were 'piled' on top of them. Further usage seems to expose another problem. If I import, with an Adaptive Color (only) preset and 'Standard previews', the previews are built but the Adaptive profile needs to be updated. After updating, the previews are not updated until the image(s) are then viewed/selected in subsequent processing. This adds to additional confusion and delays.

Assuming you are doing culling in LRc (not, for example, Photo Mechanic), I do not find a difference in culling speed SSD vs NAS....but my NAS is on 10Gb Ethernet and 8-bays (striped volumes).

I can currently apply existing profiles, such as Adobe Color, with AutoTone on importing images. For many of my volume images, such as in basketball arenas, this has given a good initial image that needs few adjustments to complete and quickly be able to deliver my images.
initial testing of the new Adaptive Color profile shows that it is providing superior results. Unfortunately, the current implementation in 14.2 does not execute the profile. This requires a separate, time consuming step to do an AI update.
please allow the Adaptive Profiles to be applied and execute during the import stem.

I just imported a batch of images and used a preset I created with just the 'treatment and profile' set to 'Adaptive Color'. All (pretty sure, didn't really check all) of the images had an "update" button under the profile indicator and a red dot in front of Basic. Can you explain why or what I did wrong?

Loupedeck (CT, Live) has an 'Upright Auto' press button, which I believe is built on the Adobe programming interface. It will toggle auto on/off. For the other modes (level, vertical, etc) I have also built dev presets, but they just activate that function. Nyoman can set an 'off' preset for upright.

I use Loupedeck where I can easily press a key for the transform functions'level' or Auto'. Sometimes it is necessary to use constrain crop on the image, which requires a mouse over to select the box. It would add to speed and efficiency to have a shortcut key to select that function.

Please add Generative Fill and AI Denoise/Sharpening to LRc as soon as possible.....even as previews! I had been anticipating these, particularly the sharpening and no need for DNG file and was disappointed when I didn't see in the LRc announcements. This is GREAT!!! Can't wait.
