your cache is set to the D: drive, not the C: drive.

Even if you could "sync histograms", that wouldn't mean that your images would all look the same. Do yourself a favor and HIDE THE HISTOGRAM.

Well, you have 200GBs dedicated to your ACR cache and then you're trying to creating 1000s of 1:1 previews which take up many GBs as well... and your D: drive has only 110GBs of free space. This is clearly an issue with not having enough space for your requirements, so either decrease the ACR cache or get a larger drive.

@AARON38893188ne8nYes, but that behavior is disabled by default and you can only change it if you know the super-secret hiding spot that Adobe has chosen to hide it. And once you have finally turned it on, the keyboard combo and mouse-movement needed to constrain the movement is known only by 5 people on the planet. My guess is that there's only one person on the Ps team who even knows how to do this.

[abuse removed] Sounds like you just don't have the layer linked to the mask. Click the lock link between the layer and the mask.

>PS: My process now for "speeding things up": yeah, it's been that way since v1, believe it or not. Way back then, i particpated in their internal testing group and begged them for YEARS to fix this issue. It was a big problem back then and it's still a massive problem today. Why in the world can't Lr render the damn thumbnails without me needing to scroll through the entire folder? Who designed this user experience and why? Does it benefit ANYONE to not render the thumbnails as the previews are being rendered? Just goes to show that they really don't care about those of us with jobs to do.

Another related and horrible UX is importing a folder and rendering 1:1 in order to do your initial cull. One would hope that the Adobe folks would understand that a sequential import is best so that the user could begin culling while Lr is importing/rendering, but no, the files are imported completely randomly, so you have to wait for the entire import/render to complete before you can start working.

Alright, I can confirm that this is indeed the case and Lightroom is now forcing a manual update of ALL IMAGES THAT HAVE A SELECT SUBJECT MASK. This is an absolute disaster. Adobe, why do we need to manually update all of our masks one by one??? And how are we even supposed to tell which images have masks that need to be updated and which don't? I have hundreds of thousands of images in my Catalog and thousands of select subject masks, scattered amongst hundreds of folders. Are you expecting us to now go through our entire catalog and manually re-render everything before our next export? Is this the intended UX here?

Yikes. Thank you for the warning and hopefully this isn't a bug that affects all users, because if it is that's going to be a massive nightmare for everyone.

and you verified that the originals are all the same size in Lightroom? Did you also try the manual workflow? Export your images, then stack them manually...?

The issue is probably that there are several 'adaptive' adjustments in the Basic tab of Lightroom. So if you're processing a sequence of images and there are changes in the content of the images, Lightroom is unable to produce consistent results. It's incredibly frustrating, but it will never be fixed since this is "as designed."

You haven't yet chosen the gradient preset or colors for your gradient. See that black color in your Options Bar up top? That's the current gradient. Change it. So strange that people get angry when they don't know how to do something and will blame everyone but themselves.

Select the Move tool, change the options in the Options Bar. Like ID and IL, you need to spend a little time and learn how to use the apps.

It took us 25 years of begging to get them to add line weights and colors to the Pen tool. Perhaps if we beg for another 25 we might get anchor size options?
