So that works. The weird thing is that if I have that open and then switch back to the multicam one, it works as well. It's very strange.

This has got to be a bug somewhere. As I said, to get the color to look right, I added the original clip to the timeline and then removed it. If I close the project and open it back up I have to do the same thing. If I export the clip and use Media Encoder the color comes out wrong. If I export it using Premiere with the same settings it does it correctly.

So here is an interesting thing. I added the original camera clip to a different track in the sequence and it fixed the issue in the multicam sections. I'm doing an export so I'll report back if it's completely fixed or not.

What if I don't have the storage? 276GB for 4 minutes is a little extreme.

I checked and auto tone mapping is on in both sequences. Auto Detect Log was unchecked so I checked it. It didn't change anything. Yes, the part that is messed up is the multicam nested in a non-multicam sequence.

I have a multicam sequence that has 5 different cameras. Two of those cameras are two Canon cameras (one an R5 and the other an R3) that were shot in CLog3. When I have the multicam sequence in the timeline the colors look correct. When I have the sequence that has the multicam sequence in it the colors look like uncorrected log footage. The color settings for both sequences are both set to Rec 709. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

I converted the original clip to ProRes 422 and it resolved the issue. Thank you so much Paul. One more question though. What would you recommend I transcode footage in the future to? The original file is 8.28GB and the ProRes version is 276GB.

I found out the clip that is giving me issues. It is the clip that was shot with an iPhone. I can play the two Canon R5, the GoPro, and the Insta 360 cameras and it works good. Once I add in the iPhone angle is when it acts up. The media properties of that file are below. Any suggestions on what I should do? I checked and the proxies are linked in the proxies folder. So they are right. I also made the high-res offline and the issue still exists.

I moved the whole project to a local internal fast drive. I remade the proxies with the quarter watermark Prores Preset. The same thing is happening. I got a warning that said Clip Night 1 does not support low resolution proxy. Creating medium resolution proxy. Here is a screenshot that shows Task Manager while it was playing. Can you think of something else I can try? I really appreciate you helping me Paul.

Dropping it to a quarter didn't make a difference. I dropped it to 1/16 and it will play smoothly for about 15-20 seconds before it starts dropping frames. In task manager nothing is even close to being pegged. Should I make the proxys 1/4 size instead of the half and add a watermark so I can tell that they are actually being used?

OK so I did that and still get thousands of dropped frames. So I thought my hard drive was too slow. So I bought a new MVNE drive. The fastest one I could get and copied the project and source files there. When I opened the project and relinked all the media I noticed that the bar was red that shows if playback is going to be OK. So I ran render in to out. When it finished it played beautifully. When it got to the end I hit play again and it was back to 1000s of dropped frames. Do you have any other ideas? Here is another screenshot.

OK when I'm in the Program Monitor it shows two images that are the same and I see the option in settings for Auto-Adjust Multi-Camera Playback Quality. When I'm in the Source Monitor that's where I see all 5 and I can switch between them. But that option isn't there in that wrench. I attached screenshots of both of them.

I used the ProRes half-size preset when making the proxies. So I guess they are around 1080p. I'll check for sure when I get home.

I have 5 angles of footage of a figure skater routine. They are all 4k. Two Canon R5, Insta360, GoPro, and iPhone cameras. I have made proxies for all the footage. I have them in a multicam and I'm trying to watch it to select the angles to show. There are parts where the video just stops playing or the fps is like 1 or 2. I saw a YouTube video that said the audio was causing a problem so I clicked solo on one of the audio tracks, but that didn't help. I'm on Windows and in Task Manager Memory is like 36% and CPU, Disk, and GPI are all under 6%. Any ideas on what I can do would be appreciated. The video is only 4 minutes long. I want to create a monochrome clip in Premiere and all the video tutorials I've seen say to just turn Saturation to 0 and adjust the Light sliders. I would like to control it more like you can in Photoshop. I'd like the skin tones to be light rather than middle gray. How would I achieve that? I use Nik Silver Effects in Photoshop, but I think it's making the red channel lighter.

Does anyone know how to import an HDR still image that was made using the new version of Lightroom? I tried an AVIF file, but Premiere wouldn't import it. I then tried exporting a PSD from Lightroom, but Premiere imported it as SDR and in the Color section it won't let me overwrite the color space. It just says Not Color Managed.

I tried reducing the resolution and the refresh rate and the issue still exists. It only happens in Premiere though. I tried playing a HDR video on YouTube in Edge and it worked fine.

No the issue is still there. I did upgrade to the latest video driver and it still does it. I tried a different cable and it still does it as well. I did not try the downgraded resolution or refresh rate. I'll do it after work when I get home.

I can answer some of your questions now, but I'm headed out of town for a few days so I'll answer the rest when I get back. I'm on the latest version of Windows 11. It updates all the time so my guess is yes it's been updated recently. Yes, it happens if Premiere is maximized. I'm connecting via Display Port. I'm not sure which version.

Yes HDR Mode in the Windows Display Settings. I have attached a video that shows it. Just ignore the background noise. It happens no matter which clip is loaded in Premier. No this does not happen when I'm outside of HDR mode or when I have Display Color Management unchecked in Premiere. Sorry, but I only found out I needed Display Color Management checked after I have upgraded to this driver. I know the last driver I used caused a warning to come up on launch of Premiere.

I have an ASUS ProArt DisplayHDR 1000 display that I'm using in HDR mode. I want to produce HDR videos. I checked Display Color Management to get the colors to look correct. The issue I'm having is randomly getting glitches across the screen occasionally. They look to be grey and are about an inch in width most of the time occurring about a quarter of the way down the screen. I use an Nvidia Quadro RTX A4000 video card with driver version R535 U2 (536.25) which is the latest version. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

The Photoshop Developers must hate people who use a 2 in 1 as a tablet with a pen. First they take away Surface Dial Support and now this. I understand the Dial, but it shouldn't be hard to have an onscreen Shift, Alt, and Control Button. So annoying.

Thank you so much for the information. It helped me a lot. In reading the release notes for today's update it doesn't sound like anything in the HDR workflow has changed. I'll watch the keynote and some of the other stuff as well. Thanks again Neil.
