Hello Kevin, Thank you for taking the time to answer, even more than a year late. I admit that I no longer encounter this bug since I have permanently switched to DaVinci Resolve. The latest (pseudo) developments in Premiere and the recurring stability and performance problems encountered with each new version have taken their toll on my patience. To be more specific, my decision was made during the editing of a documentary series of around twenty minutes, in 2 episodes (same cameras: RED, Canon R5 Mavic Pro, GoPro, same editing computer and same output card and harware) . I edited the first episode on Premiere Pro and the second on DaVinci Resolve. I was therefore able to make a direct comparison in terms of reliability and performance between the two software programs. The verdict is final. At the end of the editing of the first episode, I had to restart Premiere around 10 times a day to be able to continue working correctly (GPU memory saturation, slowdowns, and many other things). On DaVinci Resolve (2nd episode), I had no problems during ALL the editing process and I was finally able to concentrate on my job again: EDITING. To be clear : I have no shares in Blackmagic company. I'm just a freelance editor for more than 25 years. I must admit that paying monthly for more than 10 years for a software that is not evolving in the right direction for professionals like me is starting to irritate me to the highest degree. For all these reasons, I am now considering taking a further step and canceling my Adobe subscription. I don't think I'm the only one who thinks all this and I feel a growing discontent as well as a certain disinterest in Premiere in the post-production world for several years. I also unfortunately think that Adobe hardly cares about its customers since the subscription system introduced a few years ago allows a regular and certain inflow of money without the need to significantly evolve the software or at least to stabilize it. Hello; This is a common issue related to mercury transmit with Blackmagic ouput cards ou AJA output card. No solutions suggested by Adobe (of course...). Don't waste your time to reinstall Premiere, reset preferences, import your project in a new fresh one, etc. Don't wast your time to update your Blackmagic drivers (12.7.1 has still this problem). It's an Adobe / Blackmagic related problem. The only workaround is to output Mercury Transmit through a GPU output instead of your video card output.

Hello. Same problem here with 23.2 which is completly unusable as a pro user. Many of my pro editor friends have the same kind of problem. Try to install 23.0 version. It was a little bit more stable. I know this is not an ideal solution... To be honnest, I'm tired of reporting bugs on this forum. This is useless because Adobe takes forever to fix very serious bugs. And with each update, old bugs reappear... I think it's really time to consider using other video editing software. Good luck!

Hello, Another day in the wonderful world of Premiere Pro bugs (23.2, Windows 11 Pro. 10 mins timeline (2160x1920@25fps) with mixed R3D, H264, WAV and MP3 footages. Some AEP simple titles in the timeline (not rendered) Some AEP renders in ProRes 422HQ or 4444 Some shots are "pluginized" with Univers VHS. I did an export of a this timeline in ProRes 422HQ (same res). The sound track of my export has some weird unsync (generally during crossfade). The sound gets unsync then go back in syn few secondes after. I tied to export the exactly same timeline as a WAV only file and put toghether in sync the ProRes and the WAV in a timeline. Here is a example of the sync bug : In blue : ProRes export in green : WAV only export 1 & 3 section : in sycn 2 section : unsync This happen nearly 10 times in my 10 mins timeline. FYI, here is the original portion of this timeline : Very few shots : H264 from Canon R5, R3D from RED Komodo, 3 audio tracks (2 from cams, 1 music in WAV). The only FX used is a simple Lumetri Color. Any suggestion ? noar

Same problem here since Pr 23.2 update. I have an old project made in Pr 23.0 with Ae comps in it (Ae 23) Both Pr & Ae has been updated in 23.2 My Pr project opens fine in 23.2 but the dynamic link with Ae comps is impossible to do. My Ae comp opens fine in Ae 23.2 Pr prefs has been reset, I created a new blank Pr 23.2 project and imported the old one in it : same. If I manually reimport my Ae comps in the new project, it works fine. Seriously Adobe I'm getting tired of your buggy updates.

Hi Kevin, My project is a 10 mins timeline with mixed footage of 5K R3D, 4K H.264 (Canon R5) and 4K drone footages (H.264) 95% of the medias has been proxified in ProRes 422 Proxy (same resolution / fps as original footages). I'm editing with proxies attached (of course). Hope this helps. noar

Bonjour, J'ai rencontré un problème similaire sur un PC Dell équivalent. Après quelques recherches il semblerait que ce soit lié à un logiciel de FX audio qui est installé par défaut sur la machine (Wave quelque chose de mémoire). La déinstallation de ce logiciel a résolu le problème. Tu peux essayer cette piste. A défaut de le désinstaller complétement, tu peux aussi essayer de le désactiver du démarrage et des services à l'aide du logiciel CCleaner. En espérant que ça fonctionne chez toi. Amicalement noar

J'ai eu ce soucis sur une 23.1 aussi (Win). Essaye de repasser en 23.0 pour voir. De manière générale, la 23.1 est à éviter pour tout un tas de raisons (soucis d'export, de performance, etc.)

Ok I better understand the philosophy at Adobe and their users on this forum. I've been a monitor for more than 20 years and if I ask this question it's precisely because I'm tired of doing regular manual manipulations (even simple ones) that could be automated or more user friendly. I doubt being the only user having such issues. And I have to say that if adding a piece of code for such an insignificant function endangers Premiere Pro, the coding team should be serious about the quality of their work. I know thanks. The point is that most of the companies don't want freelances editor to unsync their account and replace with their own. And as a freelance editor I don't want to use my at be account away from my personal office. So we just need to import our keyboard shorcuts. No more.

Hey all, Also have the same problem with a big project (6h30 of footage : 5K R3D, 4K H.264) Absolutely everything has been transcoded in ProRes LT. Disk speed are more than good, RTX 3080 with 528.02 Studio drivers). Only solution is to regularey quit and relaucnh Pr. I will try the 23.0

Like many pro user, I'm used to work at home with all my habits but sometimes I need to edit in many different companies. It would be great to import the keyboard shortcuts from a computer to another. For now I have to manually copy the XXXX.kys file on the right folder. Don't think It would be difficult to code this. It's a known Pr bug in version 23.1 Try to check that your project folder has not any special character (space, symbols, etc.) A first test would be to export at the root of a drive. Hope this helps. This bug has been reported to Adobe since 23.1 came out. No update since... noar

Same problem here since 14.6. Since Adobe doesn't seem to care about this problem, I decided to investigate it myself. It seems that this bug could be related to control surfaces. I tried to remove my 2 control surfaces (BCF2000 & Loupedeck+) and I can add tracks again (I haven't tested the other bugs any further. because I need my control surfaces) As soon as I got a control surface declared in Pr preferences, it crashes every time I add a new track. Please Adobe correct this ASAP. Going back to 14.5...

So. I did everything recommended (Reset prefs, clean cache, import old project in a fresh one) Importing the old projet in a fresh one took me at least 10 mins... (1h30 footage, 2'00" timeline) Some bugs have dissapeared (drag'n drop, delete footage) but no way to add new track. I'm tired to wast my time with this crappy 14.6 update. I will switch backward to the 14.5 for the next jobs and will take some time to have a look to DaVinci Resolve which appears to be more stable Thanks for all Adobe.

This answer is a perfect example of how Adobe treats its business customers. Of course, no software is free from bugs. Except in this specific case of the 14.6update. Here we are not talking about bugs but about a software that has become unusable after an update announced with great fanfare by Adobe. I'm an editor since 20 years, I work daily on Premiere since version CS6 and some bugs are here for years. I always look forward to them being corrected with every update. As proof of this : the large number of messages posted on your feature / bug requests forum to which Adobe never seems to pay attention because of your voting system. Sadly your last message clearly reflects the state of mind of your company. This is really sad. If your policy is to make Premiere become an iMovie for Windows, please say it loud. And we, professionals, will switch to other systems. But please don't make us waste our precious time by waiting for a simply working editing software. Finally, I have taken note of your so-called procedure in order to correct the problems that we are often encountering.
