Okay, I've found the bug - We really should be getting paid to do you jobs, since we solve things that no Adobe employee bothers to figure out. If any audio clip is highlited in a track then often it greys out the options for renaming the marker, or going to the marker position. Un-highlight the audio clip and the menu is accesible. Another point. The two marker position thing is confusing and time wasting in my view, I can't understand why you would need to mark the clip as well as the track but if you did need this feature why make the marker automatically go to the clip any time a clip is highlited? When isn't a clip highlited? You should at least be able to choose if you want the default the marker to the clip or the track. It's frsutrating and slows production. I'll be very curious to see if this ever gets fixed, I highly doubt it, but at least it's here for the others that are frustrated by silly little bugs in Adobe Audition.

In additon top this, the error is random. I just went through using several markers and not being able to change the names, deleted them all and started again and now it allows one to be changed.

Have you even tried to replicate this on a Mac? It should be fairly evident. I have been chasing this so long I'm getting tired of having to re-explain it everytime. How do you suggest I send my session files to you?

Working on a session, if I add a Marker and then try to rename it, it highlites the Marker panel, as it shuold but doesn't show the marker. If I click "Show Markers of all files" it displays the session folder and the Marker but I am unable to change the name.

No, I am not using any of those mentioned - "Full Reverb and Reverb, use the Studio Reverb. For FFT Filter and Scientific Filter effects".

Markers has been messed up for a while now, over several updates. I'm running latest Mac and am unable to edit markers in the session. The option is still there to "rename" but it does nothing. Accessing from the marker window it does not allow editing. Marks have become a real problem. But as with the other issues I am having, that also have been years, I am relaizing that Adobe doesn't care. They may fix bugs when they feel like it but you and me as users are nothing to Adobe. They just don't care.

I appreciate you answering my post - even if it took 16 months and multiple messaging on social media. The thing about bugs is that every time Adobe has one (virtually every update brings another,) they always try to make it sound like it's the user ro jus the way things work. It's not. I originally contacted support years ago about this. The plug-in being used slows the systme you say. Well, if you take that same plug-in and place it on a bus track - real time - and route the orginal problem track through that bus then automation works fine and there is no delay. If it was a system delay it wouldnt matter where it was. Perhaps it would be handy if Adobe actually tried to replicate the issue and try to fix it, BEFORE responding with a story about how it just the way it is or it's the user etc.?

I have the same issue. I think trying to tell them is a waste of time though. Thye just don't care about bugs. I think their attitude is that the user will deal with whatever they produce. I have been chasing a bug for years now with using automation and a plug-in and they still won't adress it and responding to me is zero unless I am on social media. Then it's thank you and we are looking into it. Sorry to sound negative but these big companies are eliminating customer service. They just don't care. So I have been dealing with the Markers issue for quite some time as well. I'm always hesitant to update because so many times the update brings some other issue I have to deal with.

Adobe Audition - Mac When pressing play there is a delay - perhaps 500 milliseconds or so, when using automation. The delay seems to get worse as the project is edited further and becomes more complicated. I found that if I removed the plug-ins from the track, the delay is gone even with automation on. If I remove automation and leave the plug-ins in, thenthe delay is gone as well. So the playhead delay happens when using plug-ins and automation together. Which plug-in does not seem to matter, any of them, Adobe or otherwise cause the problem. This is only a two track edit but often happens using more tracks. Yes, my computer has more than enough power, and yes it happens on other computers under the same parameters. Workaround: My rather convoluted workaround is to create a bus track, install plug-ins on that one and rout the output of the track I am editing to the bus. This seems to work. Does anyone have a fix? I did call Adobe but got the usual uniterested response of it must be on my end. Really I wonder how they ever fix bugs when they have no interest in hearing about them. Wierd. Life goes on. 🙂
