Can't login using Firefox

When I try to login to the forum using Firefox (v. 18.0) I get stuck in an eternal redirection loop, making it impossible for me to login using Firefox. I can log in to other parts fo the Adobe site (e.g. the bug tracker) and it works fine using IE, so it seems to be a conflict between the forum and Firefox specifically.

The following is the page I'm trying to login using:

https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=ca&returnurl=http://forums.adobe.com/adobe_log...

When I click the "Sign in" button I get stuck on an empty page that contains just the following:

<html>

     <head>

          <title>Redirecting...</title>

          <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=http://forums.adobe.com/adobe_login" />

     </head>

     <body>

          <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript"><!--

               location.replace("http://forums.adobe.com/adobe_login");
               //-->
</script>

     </body>

</html>

It's possible I have some Firefox plugin installed that's causing the problem. I looked at previous posts and saw that Firefox users have had issues with the forums in the past, but I didn't see anything more recently. Given this, I just thought it was worth mentioning in case others are experiencing it too.

Is this a general problem, or just me?

Hi,

I think this was a temporary problem. I had exactly the same issue last night (HTTP 404 errors) and couldn't access the forums at all (I wasn't able to reply to JohnnyBeGood113's post at the time, even though I received an email about it, for obvious reasons!). However, it seems to be working again now, as long as I don't use HTTPS-Everywhere.

So, hopefully this was just a temporary glitch.

It’s a problem with your setup. because I use either FireFox Or Seamonkey.  and have no issues. In fact I am using FireFox now.

Hi, and thanks for the fast feedback. Prompted by your message I looked into this a bit further and it turns out it's a conflict with the HTTPS-Everywhere plugin for Firefox:

https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere

If I disable this plugin I can login to the forum fine. Given this, it seems like it may be a problem for the HTTPS Everywhere developers to solve, so I'll take it up with them.

Thanks again.

Hi,

I'm having same issue with FireFox 18.0.1 (latest version as of today) and IE v9.0.81 ?

It only works in Chrome.

Here's FF error http://i.imgur.com/GVfrmoj.jpg

IE error http://i.imgur.com/Foq5i8E.jpg

I do not have HTTPS-Everywhere plugin installed and not even on IE.

Using Chrome I can't even try to attach picture to this post all I get is this: http://i.imgur.com/yb5BpRy.jpg
