It's very frustrating when one cannot effectively search something that is supposed to be a knowledge base/asset.
Is it just me or is it extremely difficult to search this forum?

Does forum specific searching work? Yes or no?
Sometimes.
Ususlly, this is the best place for searches:

I wouldn't be so sure about this. The reason search doesn't work at present is because Adobe programmers have disabled it. In my experience, most forums, no matter how basic they are, have a search function that actually works and so if Jive hasn't got one is simply unbelievable!.

Paul,
Until John tells us that the current no will become a yes, the best way may be to use Google Advanced search, including the full phrase "Up to discussions in [relevant forum name]", and if you search for posts by a specific poster (such as yourself), you may add name, and date of joining the forum as it appears under the name.

Man that is disappointing. Adobe has no respect for time or energy.
Not so green adobe - when hundreds of thousands of users need to spend hours longer on their running PC's to just to try and get informaiton. Wasting millions of our hours of the time we have on the earth, and millions of wasted watt's...
Hey, you know who else has a broken forum search? NOBODY.
But it's okay Adobe, I only gave you $2000 for master collection, and tens of thousands over the course of decade... so I don't deserve much help. After all your products work 100% perfectly... so who need help!

Well, if you can just hold off a bit longer, things should (could?) get better.
Actually, even when Search worked, most found that Google, or Bing, was better then. After a bit, when Search broke, they were atuned to using those resources.
Maybe, by the end of the month, things will be all better?
Here's hoping,

Well, a little bird told me that things would get better.
Whether they will, depends on the truth, that that bird spoke.
We will see.

Gishnetwork, do you know about Google's ability to limit searches to a specific site?
For example, you can search for the following string:
"broken forum search" site:forums.adobe.com
Try it with and without that last term.
It's funny, but Adobe's site comes out on top even if you leave out the second term.

Wonder why THAT is? Could it be that so many here have posed similar questions - over, and over, in ferverent hopes that something might get fixed?
Nah, it can't be THAT!
