What writer programs are compatible with XP Pro and windows 7?

I want to go from Adobe 4.0 Writer to more current versions, but I see that v9.0 Pro is not compatible with Windows 7.

I need to be able to copy from pdfs to word or excel and have it correctly populated.  I do a lot of work with Excel and need this ability.  I can do it with v7.0 but that is not my copy and I do not like the way a document prints to the PDF file because it crops the data.

If you are talking about Adobe Acrobat. I suggest you go and ask in the appropriate forum.

And it would help if you framed your question a little more clearly.

> Acrobat forum.

Thanks for your polite reply Josh, and the question was correct though you had difficulty understanding it.  Sorry didn't know there were special forums inside Adobe.  By the way since I needed to call Adobe support they informed me they have none of their Adobe Acrobat programs are compatible with Windows 7.

I think they misinformed you.

Did you ask in the Acrobat forum?

Generally the forum people know more than Adobe's outsourced support department.

Yes I did. I called and spoke to the Adobe rep and made the inquiry. He

put me on hold while he went and checked. Then came back with the reply

that Adobe Acrobat v9.0 was not compatible with Windows 7. That really

bothers me because I have all my documents copied and edited to or from

PDFs.

Dennis, you need to understand the difference between forums and telephone support.
