セキュリティアップデートが発生した場合、アップデートを促して最新版に誘導するのはふつうのことだと思います。

これはFlash Playerに限らず、セキュリティアップデートをインターネット経由で行うものは、ほとんどがそうじゃないでしょうか。

またFlashは来年末に廃止されることが以前から決定していて、各種ブラウザも段階的に積極的に利用しないような状態になってきています。

Adobe、Flashを2020年に廃止。ChromeやFirefox、Edgeなど段階的にサポート終了

廃止まであと1年少々ですから、単体のFlash Playerをインストールしているのであれば、アンインストールしてしまっても構わないと思います。

そうすればFlash Playerとしてのアップデート通知は今後起きることはありません。

Thanks for the feedback.

Are you by any chance using MacOS 10.6? We no longer support that operating system (the operating system itself hasn't had an update since 2011), and recent changes to MacOS prevent us from being able to continue to support the old version.

If that's the case, the best option available is to either update the OS, or uninstall Flash Player, which you can do here:
