Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2019から2020にアップデートしようと考えています。

アップデート方法とアップデートする際の、メリット・デメリットがあれば教えて欲しいです。

Correct answer R Neil Haugen

The only really new feature in 2020 is auto-reframe for doing mostly auto-resizing of video re-purposed for say social media vids for Instagram or facebook or whatever.

The 2020/14.x build series is primarily focused on stability and performance improvements. It's been mixed ... many users are getting better performance, but some are getting various problems.

You can have multiple versions installed of course, so there's no reason not to try the new version. Just make sure the Install options from the CC app don't have "remove previous version" checked.

If you do at some point need to upgrade an ongoing project, the better process is to always create a new project in the new version. From Premiere's Media Browser panel, navigate to the older version's project file, select and import the project. This seems a much better process than simply opening an older version file in Premiere and getting an 'update' of the project.
