Is there a way with javascript to Save a PDF Form with the Reader Extended PDF option activated?I was expecting to be able to do so with an Action, but this is not available.Thanks!Jean-Claude

just realized that it is possible to edit PDF files using javascript.I have some, very small, experience in the past writing controls in javascript but honestly I don't know how to edit a pdf file using this language.I especially don't know where to begin...May someone help me?examples and steps to begin are really appreciated 🙂thanks!

Does anyone know which PDF viewer on mobile currently has the most support for the javascript object model. I am particularly interested in forms support for functionality such as showing/hiding fields, validation and formatting. Adobe offerings are really inadequate in these areas.

I am trying to do an if then statement on a PDF form.I have the following formulas in excel and would like help implementing them in PDF.here are the name of the fields on my PDF form.

I want to achieve a flexible form sheet, which can be duplicated if the user needs more lines to be available. I'm new to Acrobat VBA. Hi..I'm trying to export my form data only, like (user name) and (Form Number) ...etc to text file, i used the simple command to export the form this.exportAsText();but how i can choose specific fields to export also without field names because its abstracted tech names!.Thanks in Adavance

Hi Community!I'm fairly new to making digital interactive forms, but skilled enough that I wanted to try to make some auto calculations in the document. But some questions rose up, and after a ton of searching (probably in the wrong places) I couldn't find a answer to them. I attached a link to the file in question: got to file. So I would like to ask you:1. Is it possible to make a calculation within 1 one column. I've made a document in wich the customer can manually fill the columns with data. Now is my question, if it's possible to make a calculation within that column, like the sum of all lines of data in the column "bedrag" will show in "sub-totaal". Or do I have to chop those colums up to smaller textboxes? I hope not ^^!2. I tried to find a introduction to JS coding in Acrobat but can't seem to find one. I have found some instructions on the basic option but cant seem to find out how or where I can find more instructions.I Would like to make the "sub-totaal" column x 0.21 show

I have Acrobat X Pro.  I installed "Create Bookmark Report" action.  I opened a file that contains several pages of bookmarks and the new action appeared in the action list.  It appeared to run fine, and it generated a bookmark file, but the file is empty.

Why don't my fillable fields show as highlighted any more? 

An fdf file has been exported from document A and saved. It’s location and name are constructed from two variables, path + myFilename + ".fdf".I know that the file name and device independent path are correct.I placed a hidden field in doc B to receive the value of path + myFilename + ".fdf". I have a script that opens another document, doc B, and brings it to the front. I want to add an app.alert to the script that tells the user to do something with doc B. However, no matter where I place the app alert, i.e. before or after "docB.bringToFront()", the app.alert prevents .bringToFront() from working. If I remove the app.alert() then docB is brought to the front. I would appreciate your suggestions. Thank you.

I am working on a proof of concept and the files in the link below are setup to try to achieve it.Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online. The "Text Field to search for unique IDs.pdf" has a javascript that populates todays date when opened. It has another text field named "search" What I want to happen is if a user types Cat in the search text field then a javascript will transfer the date into another PDF (Cat.pdf). I also want if the user types Dog that it  transfers the date into another PDF (Dog.pdf) And of course if the user types both Cat & Dog into the field that it transfers the date into both the Cat and Dog PDFsThe files must be PDF and will reside on a local machine in the same directory. I need a repeated calculations with different array parameters upon the same button MouseUp activation.i.e. when the user press-leave the mouse button I want the Javascript to take 2 values from an array, perform some calculations and send to TextFields. Upon next iteration (a user induced a MouseUp again) the code should move to the next 2 values within the array and so on.What is the best way to implement it? I have developed a PDF with a load of Javascript in it, it is an extensive character generator for a tabletop RPG. I have had a lot of help in creating this because I am not a programmer. The primary issue with my PDF is that the script references are all over the place. I have some in a consolidated script box, some in Document level Javascripts (DLJ) and some in individual fields. I have been told the best way to help speed up this PDF is I need to consolidate all the script into the "consolidated script box". But I would need help with some of the conversions. Though I think some may have to stay in the DLJ because of the way they work. The form does work. But the more features and data I add the slower and less responsive the PDF becomes. I know there are forums out there one can join for specialized help but they cost money, something I don't really have much of at the moment. FYI, this PDF is so slow in Acrobat that it's basically unusable. I've had to move to an alternative PDF
