Was having problems with 2018 so I upgraded both Premier Elements and Photoshop to 2019. Do you need to convert files? What should I know? Recent projects not found, use load project, drop down box appears, says project 100% loaded, then sits there? 2018 both software packages still reside on the computer? Short cuts on bottom of screen still take me to 2018. Input?

Here is what I did. I cut a clip, and then deleted the audio in that clip. I cut another clip that contained suitable shop background noise and copied the audio out of that clip. The audio clip was not long enough to fill the deleted audio in the first clip. I "stretched" the end of the short audio clip to fill the gap. The clip plays as I wish it to but I get numbers in the upper left hand corners of the clips????????

It does, I am not a complete idiot on a computer. This free software came with a lot of ad on adds. Some directions on what you would like to see from it and how to get that would be good. I downloaded "MediaInfo" It screwed up my browser, I got it back (something to do with "extensions"? Now that I have it what do i do with it. I tried to open a folder in it and it hung.

Something happened to my "preferred settings"? Every time I stop or play or add a file, music or video, a box pops up and says it is rendering required files (it did not use to do this until lately). Even if I render the project, save and shut down. When I bring it back up it renders again. I am working on a 30 minute video, so each time it does this it takes a period of time. How do I shut this back off so that it only render when I ask it to? Thanks

I use two cameras, and two mikes, then manually zinc them up. I use both audio feeds and it helps with some of the echo in the shop. Mic one is a Rode shotgun with their wind shield. Mic two was a Comica wireless label mic. I was not that happy with this mic/unit, the mic that came with the unit did not last long. Bought a better mic and get static in the audio track. I do not know if it is the unit or the mic. Gave up playing with it and just bought a Saramonic, I have not used it yet

Up to now I was pretty sure the program (Primer Elements 2018) was selecting the correct settings for my input. I am using a Panasonic Full HD HC-V770 camera, I have the choice of MP4/iFrame or AVCHD I have been using MP4/iFrame 1080 MP4 50m I have found little guidance as to what the correct format for producing GOOD quality YouTube videos. I have discovered that I can only do time lapse in AVCHD but have yet to try it. The same goes for out put, currently pick the Export & Share option and take what it gives me. I realize YouTube plays with the resolution, but would like to get what I can. I do not see a yellow orange line above my clip. If I check project settings it looks like Elements has set it up as AVCHD???? How do I determine what settings I should be using? Latest video project, https://youtu.be/6ZyXcD8oGck There is a setting on the camera that I have to go back and find for light in back of the object being filmed. I currently do manual white balance as if I let the camera do it the brightness of the video changes. Thanks for your time and help. Glenn

whsprague, I have changed no settings and am using the same cameras as I have been using. I am using two HC-V770 Panasonic CamCorders, MP4/iframe 1080 50MP, I use expert mode, and add media. The problems I have with the Nvidia cards and Adobe have been reduced by using a very old version of the Nvidia drivers. I know just enough to be dangerous with talking about matching media to the project. I think I understand correctly that when you have the green bar above the clip the project has successfully match and accepted the video clip settings. In this image I have "zoomed in" on a clip. Now image I have made some changes elsewhere in the video. I have come back to this clip and decided I want to back to it's original size. I can drag the corners back in, but am always afraid I might leave a portion of the picture not in the frame. It would be nice to hit a key stroke and have the clip "reframed" in the viewer in it's original size. So, now how to get it back, drag the corners is not as exact as a key stroke to restore it without using "go back" Thanks for your reply.

1) This is a change, it used to only render when asked to do so. I would wait to the end of development of a video, and then render. Lately if I import, it renders, if I play back what I have, it says rendering required videos. Seems to be doing it piecemeal rather then waiting till I ask for it? 2) I have 2018, is it worth it to go to 2019? Currently have problems with adobe not liking the NVIDA video cards and Adobe (many calls to adobe and NVIDA and Dell Pro Support). System is more that big enough to handle adobe, cards are more than enough processing, but still have problems. Software hangs every now and then, I can save my work and reboot. 3) Is there a way to get a video to "snap back" to it's original size in the frame after you and "resized" the video (stretched or shrunk) in the viewing frame? Thanks

I have had Pro now for 14 days and have canceled the subscription. It is an excellent product, and ran perfectly on my computer. It was just to complicated for what I am doing. I have come to really like the features in elements. The engineers at adobe have called and asked for my system configuration, brand of the camera and file format I am shooting in, and a sample video file. They say they are working with Nvidia to try and come up with a driver that will work. I must not be the only person having problems. I'm not sure if a solution will be found and if it is if I wold be notified to download a new driver from Nvidia. For now I will continue to use the buggy performance I have with Elements. I did add three more 4GB memory sticks (ordered four, but one was incorrect). Currently have 28GB of memory installed and that seems to have helped a little (way more that the min. adobe says you need).

I have worked with Pro now for 14 days. It is way more complicated than a product I want to work with. I am not saying it is not an excellent product, just that for what I am doing it is more then I need. I have called an canceled my trail period and received a full refund. I have received several calls from the engineers at adobe on the Elements problem, must be I am not the only one. I have provide my system configuration, brand name and shooting format of the cameras, and a sample video. Supposedly they are trying to work with nvidia an come up with a driver that will work, no promises they will find a solution and not sure I would be notified if they did. For now I will continue to use the buggy performance issues I have with elements. I did add three more 4 GB memory sticks (ordered four but they sent one wrong board) which now has my memory at 28 GB which does seem to have helped some (way more then what adobe says is needed). Thank yo very much. Watched the suggested Jeff Sengstack video on this page: Patching source sequences in Premiere Pro Working on color corrections now. Big topic. Need to play with it a bit. currently looking for presets (not a question yet) sliders seem to have little impact. Understand clip verses master In my wanderings, I have not seen any information on narration, can I be pointed in a direction of tutorial videos there.
