Hi Steve,Sorry for delay in responding. I am running windows 10 and my Mpeg files play audio just fine in other programs except in Premiere Elements 2019. When I drop the clip into the timeline, the video plays fine but the audio track is blank. Really disappointed with this version of Elements since everything worked fine with Elements 11 version. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thank you for your response. I am running Premiere Elements with windows 10. What particular settings do I need to change in the audio hardware settings?

I recently upgraded from Elements 11 to 2019 and now my mpeg-2 clips have no sound track. I converted the mpeg-2 clips to mpeg-4 and the audio was there but the video quality went down. Why did I have no problems in 11 and now Elements 2019 will not work with mpeg-2 clips? I have read in other forms that Elements 2019 does not support mpeg-2 files anymore. if this is so, somebody please tell me how to get a refund because all my video clips are in the mpeg-2 format
