Thank you very much for your help. I have downloaded the replacement Elements 15 and have it on my start display. But when I select it, I cant get it to run/open. I get referred back to the folder in File. Is there something I need to do to get the Elements 15 activated or authorized to run? (As you can see, I have a low knowledge level...) - Norm.

While attending to a problem with my Desktop, the prominent manufacturer destroyed ALL my files while replacing Windows 10 on it. Is there any possibility that Adobe can/will download a replacement for my Elements 15 system? Thank you. - Norm.

I've made a mess of things over a period of years in connection with 4 Catalogs (all in elements 15/Windows 10 now). There is a lot of photo file duplications across the 4, though I only use one Catalog now. I want to get rid of the other 3 Catalogs, but since each has some 'unique" files I'm worried about losing them if I just delete the Catalog(s). Can you give me some safe procedure to follow? Lastly, there are hundreds of files in my main Media view which have a "B" prefix...I'm thinking they are related to hard disk files. Should I just delete these from the catalog but not from the hard drive? I hope I've been clear enough to enable an reply; if not, I'll try to provide any add'l info you need. Thanks, Norm.

I have Windows 10 and Elements 15. I did a back-up recently via Organizer, and now find the files are all JSON records. I would like to reinstate all the photo's back into Organizer, but can't find out how to do it. Can someone help me out? (I'm low level tech...) - Norm.

I have Windows 10 on a Dell XPS 8900 Desktop. Two months ago I used the Backup Catalogue function to copy my photos to a USB. Now, when I go to the USB all I see is a long list of "B" files with a .JSON suffixes which I can't open. Trying to search for info about the matter, and all I get seems like gobbledygook. Can you help? - Norm Himes.

While moving photos from Media into albums and placing them in desired locations therein, the album icons on EVERY photo in the albums and in Media suddenly disappeared. Maybe the answer/solution is right in front of me but, dumb as I am, I can't find it. I was just dragging and dropping, sometimes one-at-a-time, sometimes in small groups - things I've done before with no problem. Every single album icon is gone. Is there any way to retrieve the icons? - Norm.

Everything in my Elements 14 Catalog was transferred to Elements 15 except the MY Albums panel contents. There's nothing there but title "My Albums". The Media view does not display any album icons on/in the files there. I have no idea what I must have done wrong as there was only one choice to make to initiate the importing process. I've had earlier editions of Elements and had no problems with the conversions... - Norm.

I can't find any explanation/definition for an icon which displays on some of my Media icons which have Version Sets. It appears in the upper left hand corner of the thumbnail; it consists of a circle with white color small border shown first inside the circle, then there is another circle within which there is a darkened area having a white bar/slash through it. This happens on Edited files. There seems to be a connection to the original file, which came from my camera, that has a name/ID that always begins with a P followed by a 7 digit number. I've tried every search I can think of but can't find any reference to this icon. There has to be a reason for its appearance, perhaps there is some cautionary purpose? (I have Elements 14 and Windows 10.) Thanks for taking a look at it. I hope I'm making some sense... - Norm.

Michael, I think I need to clarify my preceding statement. At the point of "We could view the files" I should add that we viewed the files in the Media display, after having done a "Get files.." in Organizer. I hope this helps. - Norm.

Thank you, Michael, for your directions. I will try your suggestion again; I used the Export As New Files once, and it seemed to work but when we removed my flash drive (it having much more capacity than needed, so all the expected photos were there) from her computer something changed. We could view the files, couldn't move them into the new album... Does a copy of the hard disk files get exported also, leaving the original hard disk files alone in the exporting computer? As you can tell, I'm a novice and I appreciate your patience. - Norm.

When I try to accomplish creating the album for the other computer (both Windows 10) on a flash drive, I lose hard disk files - all of the associated ones - or my relative doesn't get them. I hope I'm making some sense... - Norm. (I don't know if my request is going anywhere or not.)
