Converting from Elements 14 to Elements 15, Organizer's My Albums omitted.

starroute  wrote Everything in my Elements 14 Catalog was transferred to Elements 15 except the MY Albums panel contents.  There's nothing there but title "My Albums".  The Media view does not display any album icons on/in the files there.  I have no idea what I must have done wrong as there was only one choice to make to initiate the importing process.  I've had earlier editions of Elements and had no problems with the conversions...  - Norm.

'Importing' means reading the media files and getting back all the metadata stored in the files.

Albums are NOT stored in the files. Stacks, version sets are not either. They are stored in your catalog.

You transfer the contents of your PSE14 catalog to the PSE15 catalog format by using the 'convert' button of the menu File >> Manage catalogs (if you have installed PSE15 on the same computer).

If you have moved to another computer, you should use the backup and restore process which moves both your media files folder tree and your catalog to another computer or drive. The process automatically prompts you to convert the catalog after the restore.
