Yes, in my experience with my M262 the Embedded profile appears automatically in LR 3.2 and 3.3, but not in 3.3.1 or later.

Did you see that I'm running OS X 10.13.6? And yes, the absence of Embedded profiles is now a known and reported issue, for both the M262 and M240.

Yes, what Benjamin Gordon reported above is exactly what I reported some weeks ago, as below: I am experiencing sporadic self-activating color shifts to Leica M 262 .DNG images in the Develop Module of LR 7.5. I am running OS X High Sierra 10.13.6 on a MacBook Pro with graphics processor acceleration disabled. The camera has the latest firmware. This doesn't occur with all images, but seemingly at random, and without any user input. In the Library Module, the images appear normally. I experienced this phenomenon for the first time when I upgraded to LR 7.3.1, but prior to that, using LR 7.2 and 7.3, it did not occur. At first, opening the image in the Develop Module, the color appears as it should, see screen shot below: Image is not available However, after a few seconds, the color shifts, without my having entered any command or pressing any key, as in the screen shot below: Image is not available

The bug report didn’t address both issues, only the absence of the Embedded profile, and not the autonomous color shift in the Develop module which now two users are reporting. Sent from my iPhone

Imported into 7.5, still defaults to "Adobe Color" but it also shows the self-initiated color shift I wrote about earlier...hope you can experience it. Actually, my experience is that .DNG files from my M 262 import in LR 7.5 with "Adobe Color" selected by default, and "Embedded" not listed as an option. "Read metadata from file" has no effect, i.e., "Embedded" does not appear.

Two replies: 1) The files were initially brought into a LR 7.3.1 catalog from an SD Card via the usual "Import Photos and Video" dialog. After upgrading to LR 7.5 the same catalog is now in effect. I cleared the History panel to be sure nothing was applied to the file. 2) Yes, I applied the "Adobe Landscape" profile. In earlier versions of LR my preferred camera profile for the Leica 262 has been "Embedded." When upgrading to 7.5 that option appears to be unavailable, and the profile for these images defaults to "Adobe Color." I had been looking for the "Embedded" profile. My preferred profile for the Pentax 645D is "Embedded" and for the Panasonic cameras, "Adobe Standard."

Just updated to LR 7.5. from LR 7.3.1 on Mac running High Sierra 10.13.6. In previous version, in the Develop Module, for Leica M .DNG images, I was able to select "Embedded" in the Profile Browser. Now, however, that option does not appear, only the several baked-in Adobe, Artistic, B&W, etc. choices. I prefer the color rendition of the Embedded profile. How can I get it back? Thank you.

The new Manage Profiles option in the Basic panel of the Develop module is a nice add. But I wish there was a way to do something similar in the Lens Corrections panel. I am using a Leica M 262 camera, but with Zeiss and Voightlander lenses, not Leica lenses, so no EXIF data for them is passed to Lightroom. While most of the lenses I use are listed in the drop down Lens Profile menu, going through that entire list each time to select and apply the needed Corrections is laborious. It would be nice to be able to just "favorite" the few that I use. Is this possible?

Just did a little test of my Canon 1D Mk II in LR 2.5 and found none of the artifacts seen with the Panasonic G1. As before, using a Mac G5 and running OS X 10.5.8. So apparently there is a Camera X CPU interaction causing the issue. No real surprise. More effort into making sure a new release supported Canon, Nikon, etc., even with PPC Macs, and less effort into Panasonic, SONY, Leica, etc., makes sense. I wonder if Olympus users are seeing the artifacts. If I can limp along a little longer on my PPC G5 using LR 2.4, OK, but the handwriting is on the wall.

Very interesting result, Eric. Images imported into LR 2.5 which were then edited in LR 2.5 and show the artifacts, no longer show them if one reverts to 2.4 and starts from the Import stage in the Develop module History, thereby removing the previous 2.5 edits. The mosaic pattern is gone as are the lines that Mary and I and others have experienced. Working then from the Import stage in 2.4, subsequent edits are free of the artifacts. I'm now having this problem also--red maze pattern in some light areas as well as red lines in others (which might be incomplete maze patterns.) Using Panasonic G1 LR 2.5 on G5 Mac running 10.5.8. Appears in RAW and DNG files imported to LR 2.5, but absent in RAW files imported into SilkyPix. Is not highlight clipping. Any help much appreciated. Robert
