LRC crashes as soon as I try to make any photo changes in the Develop Module. Screen goes Black and program becomes unresponsive. I have to shut it down from Taskbar Manager

I installed the latest Win10 Update 20h2 and now my LRC is constantly crashing. I tried disabling GPU Acceleration and the same problem persited. Then I uninstalled the Nvidia Drivers and re-installed the latest driver 462.31 but LRC still crashes. Please advise. You are aware that Adobe engineers also frequent the forum for feedback or to answer questions....aren't you? You are aware that there are many other LR users that are experiencing the same GPU problem...aren't you? And yes, I have contacted Adobe directly to notify them about the black screen issue. If you are content with running LR with the GPU disabled then that is your opinion. For me, disabling the GPU accelerator and slowing down my system is a band aid solution.

It's about time that Adobe engineers fix this problem. We have been patient for almost 1 year and at least 3 LR updates. Disabling the GPU is a half assed solution to a continuing problem. Getting a black screen when changing modules is a software issue that needs to be corrected. We are looking for a solution and not a Band-Aid. Disabling the GPU slows down LR and is a counter-productive measure.

@johnrellis If the profiles are automatically applied through the raw files, then why can I not see them in the Lens Corrections profiles? This problem only happens when I import raw files captured with my Fuji X-T20 and not with my Nikon D7100, D700 or D810. I don't think that Adobe has invested a lot of effort to deal with the X-Trans .RAF files or the Fuji camera/lens profiles. Hopefully, this will change in the near future.

@DdeGannes thank you for the article. I did not know that users can create their own lens profiles. The linked article was written in 2010 and makes reference to much older versions of LR. Is the procedure similar for LR 2018? I will give it a try and post my findings tomorrow. Thanks again for your help. john

I just finished installing the latest video driver 17.7.2 for the AMD Radeon R9 200 series. Restarted Win7 64 bit, Restarted LR...changed Preference settings and activated GPU Processor. Shut down and restarted LR....Everything works. LR runs much slower than before and there appears to be a response lag. I think that this version is utilizing much more CPU/ RAM resources than the previous version of LR. Will continue working with LR and post any other bugs that I may encounter.

I have the AMD R9 290 card but I was advised by Adobe not to upgrade to the newest driver because LR was having a conflict with LR 2017. With this new LR 2018, perhaps the latest AMD driver will work. I guess there is only one real way to find out....I will update my video driver to the latest version and hopefully I won't encounter additional problems. I will post the results after the driver update.

Will Adobe update the camera and lens support for Fujifilm ? I only see the X100 series listed and the 50mm or 55mm lenses in the Lens Corrections Profile. What about the rest of the current Fuji camera line like the X-T1, X-T10, X-Pro1, X-E1, X-T2, X-T20, X-Pro2, X-E2, X-E3 etc..? And, don't forget the amazing Fuji lenses 16mm f1.4, 35mm f2, 56mm f1.2, 18-55, 18-135, 55-200, etc..?

I just updated LR and I am having problems viewing/working my files in the Develop module. When I chose a photo in Library and I go to the Develop Module I only see a Black. The LR software and commands are visible but the frame with the image is completely black ! What is going on and what is the fix?
